Council Chamoer <br />Santa Ana City Hall <br />June 15, 1959 7:30 P.M. <br /> <br />City Council met in regular session. <br />Meeting called to order by ~he Mayor. <br /> <br />Present: Councilmen <br /> <br />Absent: Councilmen <br /> <br />Royal E. Hubbard, Stanley C. Gould, Jr., A. A. Hall <br />Oob Brewer, Dale H. Heinly <br />None <br /> <br />The P~edge of Allegiance was given. <br /> <br />Invocation was given by Reverend Gerald Bash of the First Christian Church. <br /> <br />It was moved by Councilman Gould, seconded by Hubbard and carried, that the Minutes <br />of June 1, 1959, in Record Book 20, Page 192, with reference to Variance Application <br />No. 1122 filed by Margaret L. Hall be corrected to read as follows: "It was moved <br />by Councilman Hall and seconded by Hubbard, that the Variance be granted." On <br />motion of Councilman Gould, seconded by Hubbard and carried, the Minutes of June 1, <br />1959, as corrected, were approved. <br /> <br /> Bid acceptance <br />Widening N. Main St. <br /> btn 15th St. to Freeway <br /> <br />A tabulation of 0ids was presented by the Manager for the widening of North <br /> <br />Main Street between Eighteenth Street and the ~anta Ana Freeway, Project No. <br /> <br />102, part III~ as follows: <br /> <br />Cox Bros. Construction 0o. <br />Griffith Co. <br />Sully-Miller Contracting Co. <br /> <br />Total <br />$72,976.00 <br />$69,952.00 <br />$65,284.8o <br /> <br />10% bond <br />$7,000.00 bond <br />$9,000.00 Cashier's Check <br /> <br />On motion of Councilman Hall, seconded by H~obard and carried, the low bid of <br /> <br />Sully-Miller Company, in the total amount of $65,284.80 and at the unit prices, <br /> <br />Bid acceptance <br />Two four-door <br />sedans-Police Dept. <br /> <br />was accepted, and all other bids rejected. <br />, <br />A tabulation of 0ids was again presented by the Manager for the furnishing of <br />two four-door sedans for the Police Department, Specification No. 621-18, as <br /> <br />follows: <br /> <br /> <br />
