Heinly <br />None <br />None <br /> <br /> This being the date set for hearing on Amendment Application No. 277 initiated by <br /> the Pl-nning Commission, amending Sectiona~l District Map 23-5-10, Exhibit B, and that <br /> the property bounded by a line: formed by the w~sterly extension of Wilshire Avenue, <br /> a line extending generally in a southerly direction from 6%,11ivan to Greenville <br /> Street, Delhi Road and Bristol Street, involving the reclassification of properties <br /> in the following areas: <br /> <br /> (a) Area bounded by Edinger Street, Greenville Street, Center Street, and the <br /> easterly extension of Occidental Street, from the R-1 District to the R-2 and C-1-PK <br /> Districts, <br /> <br /> (b) The northeast corner of the intersection of Glenwood Place and Greenville Street <br /> (mpprox~m-tely 520 feet by 1100 feet), from the C-1 District to the R-1 District, <br /> <br />(c) Properties fronting on the west side of Greenville Street, between Edinger <br />Street and a point 150 feet south of the center line of Occidental Street, from the <br />R-1 District to the R-2 and O-i~P~ Districts, <br /> <br />(d) Properties fronting on the south side of Edinger Street between the east line <br />of Tract 2511 and Greenville Street, f.~ the R-1 District to the R-2 and C-1-PK <br />Districts, and <br /> <br />(e) Properties fronting on the north side of Edtnger Street betwm~n Sullivan Street <br />and a point 270 feet east of the center line of Gordon Place, from the R-1 District <br />to the C-1-PK District; no protests were received and the hearing was declared closed. <br /> <br />On motion of Counct~m-~ Gould, seconded by Hubbard and carried, the following <br />Ordinance entitled: <br /> <br /> "Ordinance amending Article IX of the Santa Ana Municipal Code to <br /> change district classification on Amendment Application No. 277, <br /> and amending Section~l District Map 23-5-10, Exhibit B" <br /> <br />was introduced, considered and placed on file for second reading. <br /> <br />This being the date set for hearing on Amendment Application No. 278 filed by James <br /> <br />A. Freeman to amend Sectional District Map 1-5-lO, Exhibit C, and to reclassify from <br />the R-1 and R-2 Districts to C-1-P~ District, property situated approximately 215 <br />feet north of the center line of Seventeenth Street on the east side of Bristol Street; <br />approximate size of the property involved is 78 feet by 410 feet. Mr~.Leroy Stoltz, <br />owner of property at 1226 W. 18th Street, spokesman for a group 'of persons, objected <br />to the granting of this reclassification for the reason that the homes in this area <br />are in the $20,000.00 to $30,O00.00 price class, is a fine residential area and should <br />be retained as such. M~. Earl Jabs, 12B4 W. 18th Street, and Mrs. Evelyn Scarnecchi, <br />1230 W. 18th Street, stated the property values of the residential property in question. <br />would be greatly reduced causing considerable loss to the residents in this area if I <br />this Amendment is approved. On motion of Councilman Gould, seconded by Brewer and <br />carried, the rec~-,,endation of the Planning Commission was approved and Amen~,~nt <br />Application No. 278 filed by James A. Freeman denied. <br /> <br />This being the date set for hearing on Amendment Application No. 276 initiated by <br /> <br />the Planning Commission, and to amend Sectional District Map 22-5-10, Exhibit C, and <br /> <br />to reclassify property generally fronting on the north side of Edin~er Street between <br />Clinton Street and·Sullivan Street, frc~ the R-1 District to R-2- and C-1-P~ Distr~ ~ts; <br />said property is bounded by the easterly extension of Smeltzer Avenue, Harbor Boulevard, <br />Delhi Road and a line extended generally in a southerly direction from Sullivan <br /> <br />Street to Greenville Street; no protests were received and the hearing was declared <br />closed.
