On motion of Counct]m~u <br />Hubbard, seconded by Gould and carried, Preliminary Record of Survey Map filed by <br /> <br />W.H.Siemsen, was approved subject t~ a condition. Councilm~n Hall relinquished the <br />~hair. Mayor Helnly assumed the Chair. <br />Communication was ~read from the Planning Department recommending approval of <br /> <br />Tentative Tract Map 3386 filed by Mailon Builders, Inc., creating 19 single-family <br />residential lots located generally on the east side of Newhope Street between <br />Oakfield and Sunsw~pt Avenues, subject to conditions. On motion of Councilman <br />Hubbard, seconded by Bre~r and carried, Tentative Tract Map ~386 filed by Mailon <br />Builders, Inc., was approved subject to conditions. <br /> <br />Communication was read frc~ the Plar~ing Department recommending approval of <br />Preliminary Recor~ of Survey filed by the Pow~rine Oil Company cutting a six foot <br />strip from one lot and adding it to an adjacent lot located generally at the south- <br />east corner of 17th and Spurgeon Streets, subject to a condition. On motion of <br />Councilman Gould, seconded by Hubbard and carried, the Preliminary Record of Survey <br />Map filed by Powerine Oil C~pany was approved subject to a condition. <br /> <br />Communication ~s read from the Planning Department recommending approval of <br />Tentative Tract Map 3500 filed by Milah Roven creating 248 residential lots, <br />reserving approximately 14 acres for commercial activities pending annexation and <br />rezoning, located generally south of and adjacent to the proposed San Diego Freeway <br />on both sides of Bristol Street north of Paularino Avenue, subject to conditions. <br /> <br />On motion of Councilman Hubbard, seconded by Gould and carried, Tentative Tract Map <br />3500 filed by Milah Roven w~s approved subject to conditions. <br /> <br />Communication was ~ad from the Planning Department recommending approval of Pre- <br />lfmtnsA'y Record of S1Arvey filed by California Ice and Cold Storage Company dividing <br />a parcel located generally on the south side of Fifth Street opposite of and between <br />Townsend Street and Daisy Avenue, subject to conditions. On motion of Connct]man <br />Hubbard, seconded by Hall and carried, Preliminary Record of Survey filed by <br />California Ice and Cold Storage Company was approved subject to conditions. <br /> <br />The Council having unanimously waived the reading of the Resolution, on motion of <br />Counctlm-n Hubbard, seconded by Gould and carried, the following Resolution entitled: <br /> <br /> "Resolution No. 59-208 approvfng map and declaring intention to <br /> vacate portions of Sm~ltzer, Sugar and Falrview Avenues, and <br /> Clinton and Kellog Str~ts near the east bank of the Santa Aha <br /> - River" <br /> <br />setting the bearing date en September 8, 1959, was considered and passed by the <br /> <br />following vote: <br /> <br />A2~s, Councilmen <br /> <br />Noes, Councilmen <br />Absent, Counc~ ] men <br /> <br />Councilman He~ ! assume~ <br /> <br /> Royal E.
