RESOLUTION NO. 80-46 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL 0¥ THE CITY OF SANTA ANA <br />AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 58-281 TO CHANGE THE CLASS TITLE <br />OF PERSONNEL CLERK TO PERSONNEL CLERK II AND TO ADD THE <br />NEW CLASS TITLE OF PERSONNEL CLERK I <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, on November 3, 1958, the City Council passed and adopted Resolution <br />No. 58-281, revising and re-establishing the Basic Compensation Plan for all offi- <br />cers and employees of the City of Santa Ana; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Section 1004, Article X of the City Charter of the City of Santa <br />Ana requires the City Manager to prepare, install and maintain a position classi- <br />fication and pay plan subject to Civil Service Rules and Regulations and the <br />approval of the City Council; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council has from time to time amended said Resolution; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, in order to restructure the clerical and para-professional support <br />series of classes assigned to the Personnel Department for the purpose of improving <br />efficiency and effectiveness while reducing the budgeted costs of such services, <br />it is now desired to change the title of an existing class and to add a new class <br />title to the City's Classification and Pay Plan: <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Santa Ana: <br /> <br /> 1. That Section 3 of Resolution No. 58-281, as amended, is hereby further <br />amended by: <br /> <br />a. Changing the class title of Personnel Clerk to PERSONNEL CLERK II; <br /> <br />and <br /> <br /> b. Adding, in proper alphabetical sequence, the class title of PERSONNEL <br />CLERK I; and <br /> <br /> c. Assigning, in accordance with the recently-adopted two-year salary <br />adjustment plan, the new class of Personnel Clerk I to the salary rate ranges on <br />the effective dates as next herein set out: <br /> <br />Effective Date <br /> <br />Monthly Salary Rate Range <br />No. Minimum - Maximum <br /> <br />March 1, 1980 307 $934 $1134 <br />July 1, 1980 321 998 - 1215 <br /> <br />2.
