Hubbard, Dale H. Heinly, <br />Bob Brewer, A. A. Hall <br />Stanley C. Gould, Jr. <br /> <br />The Pledge of Allegiance was given. <br /> <br />Invocation was given by Reverend Roy D. Ford of the First ~thodist Church. <br /> <br />Each member of the City Council having received copies of the Minutes of <br />August 3, 1959, reading of the Minutes was dispensed with and approved on <br />motion of Councilman Hubbard, seconded by Heinly and carried. <br /> <br />Presentation of / Jack St-~ey of the Junior Chamber of Commerce presented a plaque to former Mayor <br />Plaque to former ~0 <br />Mayor Dale H. Heinly ~ Dale H. Heinly in recognition of his services as Mayor of the City of Santa Aha and <br /> <br />Bid acceptance <br />Galvanized electrical <br />conduit <br /> <br />expressed his appreciation for the cooperation extended to the Chamber of Commerce. <br /> <br />A tabulation of bids was presented for the furnishing of 18,O00 feet galvanized <br /> <br />electrical conduit for Fire Department use, Specification No. ~52-7, as follows: <br /> Total <br />Electrical Supplies Distributing Co. of Santa Aha $ 5,Bll.80 <br />Brown Wholesale Electric Co. 5,625.36 <br />Commercial Wholesale Electric Co. 6,602.5~ <br />Orange County Wholesale Electric Co. 5,859.00~ <br /> <br />On motion of Counci!m~u Heinly, seconded by Hubbard and carried, the low bid of <br /> <br />Hearing <br />Amend. Appl. No. 279 Y <br />George Barsumian, Jr. ~¥ <br />Ordinance ,~ ~ <br /> <br />Electric Supplies Distributing Company of Santa Aha, in the total amount of $5,311.80, <br />and at the unit price specified in their bid, and for t..,ediate delivery of material, <br /> <br />was accepted and the other bids rejected. <br />~ Councilman Gould arrived at 7:40 P.M. <br />This being the date set for hearing on Amendment Application No. 279 filed by George <br /> <br />Barsumian, Jr., et al, amending Sectional District Map 15-5-10, Exhibit B and <br /> <br />Sectional District Map 16-5-10, Exhibit C, on property gener~l l~y fronting on both <br /> <br />sides of Harbor Boulevard, between Sugar Avenue and the south City limits of the City <br /> <br />of Santa Aha, on Harbor Boulevard, the depth of the properties involved measures at <br />variables from approximately ~s~ feet to 1650 feet from the center line of Harbor <br /> <br />Boulevard, on both sides, to be reclassified from R-1 District to the A-l, R-3 and <br /> <br />C-2-PK Districts; no protests were received and the hearing was closed. On motion of <br /> <br />Councilman Gou~d, seconded by Hubbard and carried, the following Ordinance entitled: <br /> <br />"Ordinance amending Article IX of the Santa AuaMunicipal Code to <br />change district classification on Amendment Application No. 279 and <br />to amend Section~ District Maps 15-5-10 Exhibit B, and 16-5-10 <br />Exhibit C" <br /> <br />~Hearing <br /> Establish right of way <br /> lines both sides Hazard <br /> Aven~e ahd ~n Sugar Ave~ <br /> Ordinance <br /> <br />was introduced, considered and placed on file for second reading. <br /> <br />This being the date set for hearing to establish future right of way lines on both <br />sides of Hazard Aven~ between ~arbor Boulevard an~ Ward Street, measured ~2 feet fr~m <br />and at right angles to the survey center line, and on both sides of Sugar Avenue <br />between Harbor Boulevard and Ward Street, measured 42 feet from and at right angles <br />to the survey center line; Harlon A. Peterson, 14~62 Aylene Circle, stated he would <br />have to move his shrubbery if '~he right of way lines are established. ~r. M. L. <br />Stevens, 14536 Verano Street, said it would take 20 feet off of his property line. <br />Councilman Heinly explained that right of way lines are established for future widening. <br />Rearing was declared closed. On motion of Councilman Gould, Seconded by Hubbard and <br />carried, the following Ordinance entitled: <br /> <br />Ordinance establishing future right of way lines along portions <br />of Hazard and Sugar Avenues" <br /> <br />was introduced, considered and placed on file for second reading. <br /> <br /> <br />
