Hall <br />None <br />None <br /> <br />On motion of Councilman Hubbard, seconded by Gould and carried, the plans and spec- <br /> <br />ifications were approved and the Purchasing Agent authorized to advertise for bids <br /> <br />on Water Well No% 19 located in Tentative Tract No. 2868 at the northeast corner of <br /> <br />Smeltzer Avenue and Verano Street, and the Purchasing Agent authorized to advertise <br /> <br />for bids for furnishing of folding chairs to be used in the new Library Building, <br /> <br />Specification No. 612-1; bids to be opened September 8, 1959. <br /> <br />On motion of Councilman Hubbard, seconded by Gould and carried, the request of the <br /> <br />Department of Public Works was approved to purchase water from the Pacific Water <br /> <br />Company for Tract No. 2743 and Tract No. 3387. <br /> <br />On motion of Councilman Hubbard, seconded by Gould and carried, the claim of George <br /> <br />J. Wheat for dsm~age to his autom~bile, in the amount of $37.50, due to a large metal <br /> <br />rod protruding into the street at a point in front of 1906 North Main Street, was <br /> <br />referred to the Attorney and Insurance Carrier. <br /> <br />The Council having unanimously waived the reading of the Resolution, on motion of <br /> <br />Councilman Hubbard, seconded by Brewer and carried, the following Resolution entitled: <br /> <br />"Resolution No. 59-222 expressing regret at the resignation of <br />Ronald Harold Bevins" <br /> <br />Deputy City Attorney, was considered and passed by the following vote: <br /> <br />Ayes, Councilmen Royal E. Hall <br /> <br />was granted permission to attend the Fiesta in San Diego, September ~th through the <br /> <br />7th, and to be reimbursed for any expenses incurred. <br /> <br />The Council having unanimously waived the reading of the Resolution, on motion of <br /> <br />Councilman Gould, seconded by Heinly and carried, the following Resolution entitled: <br /> <br />"Resolution No. 59-224 concerning parking limitations and curb <br />markings in accordance therewith" <br /> <br />establishing a bus loading zone on the north side of Regent Drive between Newhope <br /> <br />and Palm Drive, as recommended by the Department of Public Works, was considered and <br /> <br />passed by the following vote: <br /> <br />Ayes, Councilmen Roys$ E.
