RESOLUTION NO. 80-66 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />SANTA ANA FIXING AND ESTABLISHING THE COMPENSATION <br />FOR THE OFFICE OF CLERK OF THE COUNCIL OF THE <br /> CITY OF SANTA ANA <br /> <br />KLG:ar <br />4/11/80 <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Clerk of the Council has recorded the <br />proceedings of the City Council, implemented its directives, <br />preserved the city's records, and coordinated numerous Council <br />activities; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Clerk has initiated and installed <br />more efficient office management procedures; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Clerk has accomplished these and a <br />multitude of other tasks as charged in the catch-all clause <br />of the job description that reads, "performs related duties <br />as required;" and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council recognizes the duties of <br />the Clerk's office have been fulfilled in an able manner and <br />that such ability merits commensurate compensation. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL <br />OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA: <br /> <br /> 1. That the salary for the office of the Clerk of <br />the Council for the City of Santa Ana is hereby fixed and <br />established at $2420 per month, and that said salary shall <br />be paid in the same manner and at the same times as other <br />monthly salaries in the city are paid. <br /> <br /> 2. That the city shall pay to the Public Employees' <br />Retirement System, on behalf of the Clerk of the Council, an <br />amount equal to five percent (5.0%) times the compensation <br />upon which such retirement contributions are calculated. <br />Such payments are not considered as part of or an increase <br />in base salary. <br /> <br /> 3. That in addition to the compensation and benefits <br />specified above, said officer shall receive any and all <br />benefits accorded unrepresented Executive Management employees <br />of the city who are miscellaneous members of the Public <br />Employees' Retirement System. <br /> <br /> 4. That this Resolution shall be operative from <br />and after May 1, 1980 , upon which date Resolution <br />No. 79-178 is hereby repealed. <br /> <br /> ADOPTED this 215t day of April , <br />1980, by the following vote: <br /> <br />AYES: COUNCILMEN: <br />NOES: COUNCILMEN: <br /> <br />Griset, Luxembourger, Markel, Serrato, <br /> Ward, Yamamoto <br />None <br /> <br />ABSENT: COUNCILMEN: Bricken <br /> <br />ATTE ST: <br /> <br /> c.
