RESOLUTION NO. 79-] 78 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA AMENDING <br />RESOLUTION NO. 58-281 BY DELETING THEREFROM THE CLASS TITLE OF CLEP. K <br />OF THE COUNCIL AND HEREWITH FIXING AND ESTABLISHING THE COMPENSATION <br />FOR THE OFFICE OF CLERK OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, on May 21, 1979, the City Council adopted Resolution No. 79-73 <br />which reinstated the class title of Clerk of the Council to the City's basic <br />classification and compensation plan (~solution No. 58-281); and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, it is now the desire of the City Council to fix and establish <br />the salary for the Office of Clerk of the Council on a flat rate basis; speci- <br />fy a first-year vacation leave schedule; and provide certain employee benefits <br />applicable to Executive Management employees of the City of Santa Ana as herein- <br />below specified. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Santa Aha: <br /> <br /> 1. That Section 3 of Resolution No. 58-281, as amended, is hereby further <br />amended by deleting the class title of Clerk of the Council from the list of <br />class titles contained therein. <br /> <br /> 2. That the salary for the office of the Clerk of the Council for the <br />City of Santa Ana is hereby fixed and established at $2200 per month and that <br />said salary shall be paid in the same manner and at the same times as other <br />monthly salaries in the City are paid. <br /> <br /> 3. That the City shall pay to the Public Employees' Retirement System on <br />behalf of the Clerk of the Council an amount equal to five percent (5.0%) times <br />the compensation upon which such retirement contributions are calculated, Such <br />payments are not considered as part of or an increase in base salary. <br /> <br /> 4. That the Clerk of the Council shall be entitled to accrue and take paid <br />vacation leave in the same manner as is afforded Executive Management employees <br />of the City; except, however, said officer shall be granted an additional forty <br />(40) hours of vacation leave time in order to take five (5) consecutive working <br />days paid vacation leave during the first six (6) months of employment, the <br />scheduling of which shall be subject to the approval of the Mayor of the City <br />of Santa Aha. <br /> <br /> 5. That, in addition to the compensation and benefits specified above, <br />said officer shall receive any and all benefits accorded unrepresented Execu- <br />tive Management employees of the City who are miscellaneous members of the <br />Public Employees' Retirement System. <br /> <br />6.
