<br />Communication was read from the Planning Commission recommending denial of Variance
<br />Application No. 1184, ~led by J. R. Lawson, to establish a speech correction
<br />clinic on property situated at 1818 No. English Street, in R-1 District. On motion
<br />of Councilman Hubbard, seconded by Gould and zarried, the recommendation of the
<br />
<br />Planning Commission was approved and Variance Application No. 1184 denied.

<br />On motion of Councilman Hubbard, seconded by Heinly and carried, the recommenda-
<br />tion of the Planning C~mmission was approved, and a ninety-day extension of time
<br />granted on Variance Application No. 1056, filed by The Broad~ay and Walnut Church
<br />of Christ of Santa Ana, to permit cmustruction of a Church auditorium and Bible
<br />School classrooms, with parking facilities, on prop~ty situated at 1220 and
<br />
<br />1310 No. King Street, in R-1 District, subject to conditions.

<br />On motion of Councilman Hubbard, seconded by Heinly and carried, the reco~nenda-
<br />tion of the Platting Cmmmission was approved, and a ninety-day extension of time
<br />granted on Variance Application No. 1G73, filed by Martin B. Weinberg, to permit
<br />erection of a two-story, six-unit apartment building with six off-street parking
<br />spaces, on property situated at 814 No. Van Ness Avenue, in R-1 District, subject
<br />
<br />to conditions.

<br />On motion of Councilman Hubbard, seconded by Heinly and carried, the recon~menda-
<br />tion of the Planning Commission was approved, and a ninety-day extension of t~m~
<br />only was granted on Variance Application No. 1042, filed by G. Howard Robertshaw,
<br />to permit construction of an apartment building on property situated at 705 West
<br />Delhi Road, in R-1 District, with stipulation that notice he sent to Mr. Robert-
<br />shaw that no further extension of time will be approved.

<br />Communication was again read from the Planning Commission recommending approval to
<br />establish future right-of-way lines on both sides of Harbor Boulevard, between the
<br />proposed Garden Grove Freeway and proposed San Diego Freeway, measured 60 feet
<br />from and at right angles to the survey center line. The Council having unanimously
<br />waived the reading of the Resolution, on motion of Councilman Hubbard, seconded
<br />by Gould and carried, the following Resolution entitled~
<br />
<br /> "Resolution No. 59-265 declaring intention to establish future
<br /> right-of-way lines along both sides of Harbor Boulevard
<br /> between proposed Garden Grove Freeway and proposed San Diego
<br /> Freeway, sixty feet from center line"
<br />
<br />setting the date of hearing on November 2, 1959, was considered and passed by the
<br />
<br />following vote:
