<br /> he owns seven acres on the east side of Tustin Avenue, north of 17th Street II
<br />and personally wanted to see this annexation processed, but said more detailed
<br />information would have to be given the property owners as to sewer lines and other
<br />
<br />improvements.

<br />This being the date set for hearing on Amendment Application No. 294, initiated by
<br />
<br />the Planning Commission, amending Sectional District Map 15-5-10, Exhibit B, to
<br />
<br />reclassify frcm the R-1 District to the A-l, R-2 and C-2-PK Districts, properties
<br />
<br />within the area bounded by Harbor Boulevard, Bolsa-First Street, Sullivan Street,
<br />
<br />and the easterly extension of Smeltzer Avenue; no protests were received, and the ~i
<br />
<br />hearing was closed. On motion of Councilman Gould, seconded ~y Hubbard and car-
<br />
<br />ried, the following Ordinance entitled:
<br />
<br />"O~dinance mnending Article IX of the Santa Ana Municipal Code
<br /> to change district classification on Amendment Application No.
<br /> 294 and amending Sectional District Map 15-5-10, ~xhibit B"
<br />
<br />was introduced, considered and placed on file for second reading.
<br />
<br />This being the date set for hearing to establish future right-of-way lines c~
<br />sides of Harbor Boulevard, between proposed Garden Grove Freeway and proposed San
<br />Diego Freeway, measured 60 feet from and at right angles to the survey center line;i
<br />
<br />on both sides of Verano Street, between proposed Garden Grove Freeway and Slater
<br />
<br />Avenue, measured 52 feet from and at right angles to the survey center line; and ii
<br />
<br />on both sides of Seventeenth Street - Westminster Avenue, between King and Verano
<br />
<br />Streets, measured 52 feet from and at right angles to the survey center line, the
<br />
<br />Mayor declared the hearing will be held on the establishing of future right-of-way~
<br />
<br />lines oh both sides of Harbor Boulevard, between proposed Garden Grove Freeway and
<br />
<br />proposed San Diego Freeway, measured 60 feet fr~m and at right angles to the surve~i
<br />
<br />center line. Q~estionswere asked by L. D. DeVol, 313 So. Harbor Boulevard; Ray
<br />
<br />Cowley, 1909 Federal Avenue, Costa Mesa, and Evelyn Wyle, 15742 Harbor Boulevard.
<br />
<br />Their questions were satisfactorily answered by Councilman HeirAy and the hearing
<br />was declared closed. The Mayor declared the hearing will be held on the establish-
<br />
<br />ing of future right-of-way lines on both sides of Verano Street, between proposed
<br />
<br />Garden Grove Freeway and Slater Avenue, measured 52 feet from and at right angles
<br />to the survey center line; and on both sides of Seventeenth Street - Westminster
<br />Avenue, between King and Verano Streets, measured 52 feet frcm and at right angles
<br />to the survey center line. Mrs. Florence Hendricker, 11272 Westminster Boulevard
<br />requested info~mation as to when tb~ City will acquire the property, and her ques-
<br />tions were satisfactorily answered by the Manager. No oth~ protests were receive~
<br />and the hearing was declared closed. On motion of Councilman Heinly, seconded by
<br />Hubbard and carried, the following Ordinance entitled:
<br />
<br /> "Ordinance establishing future right-of-way lines along Harbor Boulevard
<br /> and Verano and Seventeenth Streets"
<br />
<br />was introduced, considered m~d placed on file for second reading.
<br />
<br />The Mayor announced this is the time and place for hearing protests ~r o~Jections
<br />against the assessment l~vied for the improvement of T~,~r Street and other stree~,
<br />in Assessment District No. 202, and as~d the Clerk if she was in possession of the
<br />Affidavit of Publication~ Affidavit of Posting, and Affidavit of Mailing. The Cle~
<br />stated she had the affidavits, and on motion of Councilman B~ewer, seconded by
<br />Heinly and carried, the affidavits were received amd filed. The Msgor asked the
<br />Clerk if she had recaived~an~ written protests or 'obJections against the assessment~
<br />or against the fmprovement as constructed~ or against the proceedings. The Clerk
