<br />On motion of Councilman Hubbard, seconded by Gould and carried, the following com-

<br />munications were received and filed:

<br /> Fr~a ~n~hor Casualty Company advising that bond in the amount of $39,000.00
<br />for Tract No. 3387, Villa-Riviera Development, Inc., for the dedication of Nor-
<br />ningside Avenue, West Street, Elaine Drive, and Sunswept Avenue, had not and will
<br />not be filed with the City, end denying them, for now and for the future, any
<br />liability to any persons or parties as a result of executing this bond.

<br /> From the Boundary C~muission regarding proposed -nnexation of territory to the
<br />City of Tuatin (Yorba Street Annexation) and advising the boundaries of the proposed
<br />annexation are reasonably definite and certain, although it overlaps the proposed
<br />"Tustin and 17th N.W. Annexation" to the City of Santa Aha.

<br /> From the City of Orange submitting a copy of Resolution No. 1601, by which it
<br />is proposed that certain real property located on the northeast side of the City
<br />of Orange, designated "Annexation No. ll7," be annexed to the City of Orange.

<br />urging attendance at a two-day hearing on the Preservation of Records on December

<br />Councilman Heinly returned to the meeting at 10:15 P.M.

<br />Co~mmmication was read from Metropolitan Water District directing attention to

<br />Section 8.1 or Section 8.2 of the Metropolitan Water District Act, and on motion of
<br />
<br />Councilman Hubbard, seconded by Gould smxl carried, the Clerk was instructed to
<br />
<br />notify the District that the City of Santa Aha does not wish to pay out of municipal
<br />
<br />funds any portion of the amount of taxes to be derived from the area of the Metro-
<br />
<br />politan Water District lying within the City, for the fiscal year 1960-1961.

<br />On motion of Councilman Hubbard, seconded by Brewer and carried, the following

<br /> From the Church of the p~lm~ to conduct their annual fund-raising drive called
<br />"Ingathering" beginning November 28, 1959 to January 9, 1960, and

<br /> From Mrs. Beatrice Woy, ~301 W. SunsWept :Avenue, requesting permission to
<br />solicit funds and toys for the Fairview State Hospital from December 8 to 18, 1959.
<br />
<br />On motion of Councilman Hubbard, seconded by Gould and carried, W. D. Obarr was
<br />
<br />unanimously reappointed as Secretary of the Orange County Mosquito Abatement Dis-
<br />
<br />trict; term to expire December 31, 1961.
