(. ~ ff~~ <br /> <br />Hearing <br />Establish future <br />right-of-way lines <br />along Willits-Bishop <br />St.,Delhi Road end <br />Chestnut Avenue <br /> <br />This being the date set for hearing on Amendment Application No. 299, initiated by <br />the Planning Commission, amending Sectional District Map 16-5-10, to reclassify <br /> <br />from the R-1 District to the A-l, R-2 and C-2-PK Districts, certain properties <br /> <br />within the area b~m&ed by Bolsa Avenue, Harbor Boulevard, Smeltzer Avenue and <br /> <br />Verano Street; no protests were received, and the hearing was closed. On motion <br /> <br />of Councilmau Gould, seconded by ~rewer end carried, the following Ordinance entitled: <br /> <br />"Ordinance amending Article ~ of the Santa Ana Municipal Code <br />to change district classification on Application No. 299 and <br />to amend Sectional District Map 16-5-10" <br /> <br />was introdueed~ considered and placed c~ file for second reading. <br /> <br />This being the date set for hearing to establish future right-of-way lines on the <br /> <br />follc~ing streets: <br />(p) Willits-Bishop Street <br /> On both sides betwee~ proposed Fairview Street au~ Standard Avenue, measured <br />~2 feet from and at right angles to the survey canterline. <br /> <br />(q) Delhi Road <br /> On both sides betweon Harbor Boulevard and proposed Falrview Street, 52 feet <br />measured from end at right angles to the survey center line. <br /> On both sides between proposed Fairwiew Street and Rene Drive, 59 feet measured <br />frc~ and at right angles to the survey center line. <br /> On the north side between Rene Drive and Bristol Street, 52 feet measured from <br />and at right engles to the survey center, line. <br /> On the south side between Rene Drive and Bristol Street, 60 feet measured from <br />end at right angles to the survey center line. <br /> On the north side between Bristol Street and Standard Avenue, ~0 feet measured <br />from and at right angles to the survey center line. <br /> On the south side between Bristol Street end Standard Avenue, 5~ feet measured <br />from and at right angles to the survey center line. <br /> On both sides between StandArd Avenue end proposed Newport Freeway, 52 feet <br />measured from and at right angles to the sur~ey center line. <br /> <br />(r) Chestnut Avenue <br />On both sides between Main Street and the Pacific Electric Railroad, ~0 feet <br />measured from and at right angles to the survey center line. <br />On the north side between the Pacific Electric Railroad and the east city limits, <br /> 2 feet as an t i t le the On the s t side <br /> <br />end at right ang±es ~o survey center -lne. . <br />The Mayor declared a hearing will be held on the adoption of future right-of way <br /> <br />lines on Willits-Bishop Street. Attorney Frank Lfnnell, 817 No. Broadway, requested <br /> <br />that the hearing on this matter be continued until December 21, and en motion of <br /> <br />Councilman Heinly, seconded by Hubbard and carried, the hearing was continued until <br /> <br />the next meeting. Ernest Wooster, 326 E. Bishop Street, inquired what procedural <br /> <br />steps would be t~ken in c~Bection with the setbacks, and his question was enswered <br /> <br />by Councilman He~nly. The Mayor declared a hearing will be held on the adoption of <br /> <br />future right-of-way lines on Delhi Road; no protests were received, and on motion <br /> <br />of Councilman Heinly, seconded by Gould and carried, the hearing was closed. The <br /> <br />Mayor declared a hear~ will be held on the adoption of future right-of-way lines <br /> <br />on Chestnut Avenue. Edward Presser, 1305 So. Birch Street, stated that he has a <br /> <br />service station on the northeast corner of Chestnut Avenue end Main Street, and <br /> <br />protested giving the City another foot of his property as it might prevent his lease <br /> <br />renewal from the oil co~pauy. Mr. L. W. Conkey, 526 E. Chestnut Avenue, protested <br /> <br />the widening of the street, as it would create increased traffic and be hazardous <br /> <br />to the chi!a~en in the area. George Hawks, ~4 E. Chestnut Avenue, inquired why the <br /> <br />lots on Chestnut Avenue were posted if they are not affected, and his question was <br /> <br />satisfactorily answered by Counc~!mA~ Heinly and the Director of Public Works. On <br /> <br />motion of Councilman Gould, seconded by Brewer and carried, the hearing was closed. <br /> <br /> <br />
