<br />This being the date set for hearing to establish setback lines as follows: 0u the
<br />south of the northeast cormer of McFadden Avenue and proposed Fairview Street, a
<br />line 210 feet northerly, measured at right angles to the survey center line of MeFa~
<br />den Avenue, from the east line of C-1-PK District to a point 259 feet east of the
<br />center line of proposed Fairview Street; end on the wast of the northeast cormer of
<br />McFaddeu Avenue and proposed Fairview Street, a line 210 feet easterly, measured at
<br />right angles to the survey center line of proposed Fairview Street, from the north
<br />line of the C-1-PK District to a point 25~ feet north of the survey center line of
<br />McFadden Avenues no protests were received and the hearing was closed. Om motion of
<br />Councilman Gould, seconded by Brewer and carried, the following ~rdinance entitled:

<br /> "Ordinauce establishing setback lines along portions of McFadden
<br /> AVeuue and proposed Yairview Street"
<br />
<br />was introduced, considere~ and placed on file for second reading.

<br />On motion of Counc~!~u Gould, seconded by Hubbard end carried, the rec~mnendation
<br />of the Planning Cc~mission was approved and Variance Application No. 1210, filed by
<br />Elviro B. Calderon, to construct a second s!~gle-family dwalling and garage on rear
<br />part of lot, rather than attach it to existing dwalling o~ front part of lot, as
<br />required in the R-2 District, on property situated at 1827 West Second Street, in
<br />the R-2 District, was granted, subject to cenditiens.

<br />On motien of Co~uac~!~u Brewer, seconded by Gould and carried, the reco~aendatien
<br />of the Planning C~'==,issien was approved and Variance Application No. 1211, filed by
<br />Ross D. Muro, for a one-story duplex instead of one four-unit apartment house, as
<br />requested, on property situated at Waluut and Daisy Streets, in the R-1 District,
<br />was granted, subject to conditions.

<br />Application No. 1212, filed by William Justice Gay, Inc., to increase the size of
<br />existing office building and its parking facilities, on property situated immediately
<br />north of h~3 West Eighth Street, on Riverine Street, in the R-~ Distr~ct, subject to
<br />cenditions. Councilman Heinly disqualified himself. Robert Fraser, representing
<br />the corporation, stated three years ago they purchased a corner lot at Riverine and
<br />Eighth Streets, amd on one-third of the lot constructed an office building and the
<br />balance of the lot is used for parking with access an Eighth Street and Riverine
<br />Street. They recently acquired the lot fmmediately behind their present one for
<br />increased parking and a small addition to the present building. He objected to the
<br />conditions imposed to deduct a portion of the corner property and to dedicate to
<br />the City rights of egress. The Council having unen~moualy waived the reading of the
<br />Resolution, on motion of Couucilmau Hmbbard, seconded by Gould and carried, the
<br />following Resolution entitled:

<br /> where the City Council modified rec~ended conditions"
