<br />Ed~nger Street, east of Sullivan Street; from Gordon M. and Ruth M. Hicks for an
<br />
<br />easement for alley purposes northeast of Eighth and Parton Streets; from Boyle
<br />
<br />Engineering C~i~any for street easement on the south side of Chestnut, west of
<br />
<br />Lyon Street; from Veronica K. Mead and The First National Bank of Orange, Trustee

<br />City of Westminster (Annexation No. 26) and advising the boundaries of the proposed
<br />annexation are reasonably definite and certain although it overlaps proposed Annex-
<br />ation No. 24 to the City of Westminster~
<br /> From the Board of Supervisors, submitting Resolution No. 59-1274 and request-
<br />lng that the present two-county area be designated as the "Los Angeles-Long Beach-
<br />Orange County Metropolitan Area,"

<br />Southern California Veterinary Medical Association will again conduct coemmuuity-
<br />wide rabies immunization clinics on January 19, 20 and 21, 1960~

<br />dition of the sidewalk and requesting immediate repair~
<br /> From Nfs. Evelyn (B.C.) Kersting, 1916 W. Mark Street, objecting to an odor-
<br />iferous drainage problem at the rear of her lot at S. Townsend Avenue at Monte
<br />Vista Street, and requesting investigation; also requesting removal of rubbish
<br />dumping from City property from the east end of the ditch to the street curb.

<br />On motion of Couucilman Ilubbard, seconded by Brewer and c~rried, the following
<br />
<br />applications to Solicit funds were granted:
<br />
<br /> From the Santiago Girl Scout Council requesting permission for a Girl Scout
<br />Cookie Sale frem February 12 to 22~ 1960,
<br /> From the Camp Fire Girls requesting permission to conduct their annual peanut
<br />sale from January 22 through February 8, 1960, and
<br /> From United Cerebral Palsy Assocint~on of Orange County requesting permission
<br />to solicit funds in a door-to-door campaign on January 18, 1960.

<br />0u recommendation of the Department of Public Works, and on motion of Counei]mmn
<br />
<br />Hubbard, seconded by Brewer smd carried, approval was granted for payment of
<br />
<br />$559.1r7 to Jezowski and Markel, contractors, for City's proportionate share of
<br />
<br />street improvements placed in front of their property located at 2701 West Edinger
<br />
<br />Street.

<br />On motion of Councilman Hubbard, seconded by Brewer mud carried, the request of
<br />
<br />R~verend L. S. ~hc~pson of Spirdtual Temple of Faith, Inc., for permission to use
<br />
<br />the hall. engaged by the Senior Citizen's Club on 625 So. Cypress Street~ to hold
<br />church meetings Jn the afternoons from 2:30 to 4:30 P.M. and evenings from 7:30 to
<br />
<br />9:30 P.M. of each Sunday: ~as denied.
