Hall Noes, Councilmen None Absent, Councilmen None On motion of Councilman Gould, seconded by Brewer and carried, the rec~,~endation of the Planning C~,ission was approved and Variance Application No. 1234, filed by Lena M. Throne, to reduce required rear yard from 20 feet to 16 feet, on property at 225 East Occidental Stree~ i~ 'the' R~2 District~ was granted~ ~sub~ect 'to conditiOns. On motion of Councilman Gould, seconded by Brewer and carried, the rec~m.~endation of the Planning Conmission was approved and Variance Application No. 12~5, filed by Biggers Investments, to erect a 60-foot by 157-foot addition to the existing furniture store, without providing one-third of the total lot area for parking, on property at ilO0 Norbh Main Street (through to North Sycamore Street) in the C-2-PK District, wes granted, subject to conditions. On motion of Councilm~u Hubbard, seconded by Gould and carried, the recommendation of the Planning C~m~lssion was approved and a ninety-day extension of time was granted on Variance Application No. 1056, filed by Broadway and Walnut Church of Christ, 1220 and 1S10 No. King Street, to permit construction of a church auditorium and Bible School classroc~s, with parking facilities~ in the R-1 District. Commmnication wes read fram the Plarming Commission reco,~mending approval to es- tablish future right-of-way lines on the following streets: (x) Fourth Street On both sides, between Raitt Street and Santa Aha Freeway, ~0 feet, measured from and at right angles to the survey centerline. On both sides, between the Santa Aha Freeway and the east City Limits, 50 feet, measured from and at right ~ngles to the survey centerllne. (y) Eishth Street On both sides, between proposed Fairview Street and Bristol Street, 42 feot~ measured from ~mi at right angles to the survey centerline. On the north side, between Bristol and Baker Streets, ~8 feet, measured from and at right angles to the survey canterline. On the south side, between Bristol and Baker Streets, ~6 feet, measured from and at right angles to the survey c~lterline. On the north side, between Baker and Westweod Streets, 34 feet, measured from and at right angles to the survey canterline. On the south side, between Baker and Shelton Streets, 50 feet, measured from and at right angles to the survey centerline. On the north side, between Westwood Street and Broadway, 30 feet, measured from and at right angles to the survey centerline. On the south side, betwean Shelton Street and Broadway, 5~ feet, measured from and at right angles to the survey centerline. The Council having unanimously waived the reading of the Resolution, on motion of Councilman Gould, seconded by Hubbard and carried,' the following Resolution entitled: "Resolution No. 60-2 declaring intention to establish future right-of- way lines along portions of Fourth and Eighth Streets" setting the date of hearing on February 1, 1960, was considered and passed by the following vote: Ayes, Noes, Absent, Councilmen Royal E. Hubbard, Stanley C. Gould, Jr., Dale H. Heinly, Bob Brewer, A. A. Councilmen None Councilmen None On motion of Councilman Gon/A, seconded by Hubbard and c~rried, communication from the Co~aission was received and filed, reference a petition with thirty signatures, submitted by W. L. Lenehan, 205 So. Newhope Street, objecting to an alcoholic bev- erage business on property at 11442 East Bolsa Avenue (corner of Bolsa Avenue and Newhope Street ).
