April 7th through 12:00 Noon April lOth, <br /> <br />l O. <br /> <br />On motion of Councilman Brewer, seconded by Gould and carried, permission was <br />granted the Union Council of Churches and the Junior Chamber of Commerce to use the <br />Municipal Bowl, without charge, to hold an Easter Sunrise Service, April 17, 1960, <br />and have access to the Bowl at ~:00 A.M., April 16, 1960, ~n order to erect a small <br />stage and install a sound system. <br /> <br />On motion of Councilman Hubbard, seconded by Gould and carried, the written recom- <br />mendation of the Manager, dated March h, 1960, for salary step increases for seven <br />employees, effective April 1, 1960, was approved. <br /> <br />On motion of Councilman Gould, seconded by Hubbard and carried, the plans, as sub- <br />mitted by the Orange County Flood Control District, were approved for the Santa <br /> <br />Ana River Channel from Ellis Avenue to Struck Avenue, Project E-1. <br /> <br />Communication was presented from the Planning Director advising several complaints <br />have been received from property owners in the vicinity of Simeon ~venue and Marty <br />Lane regarding the proposed expansion by the Orange County Flood Control District <br />of their yard facilities adjacent on the west side of the Santa Ana River, approxi- <br />mately 1500 feet south of Garden Grove Boulevard (Memory Lane). It was moved by <br />Councilman Gould, seconded by Hubbard and carried, that the Orange County Flood <br />Control District be requested not to proceed with the expansion of their yard facili- <br />ties until data setting forth the location, purpose and extent of the proposed public <br />improvement is submitted to the Santa Ana Planning Co~missi~for report. <br /> <br />On motion of Councilman Hubbard, seconded by Gould and carried, the City Council <br />adjourned. <br /> <br />APPROVED: <br /> <br />· ' Clerk of the Council <br /> <br /> <br />
