<br />by Donald Coleman, to decrease the front-yard requirements from 60 feet to 50 feet
<br />from center line of street, on property on the north side of Sugar Avenue, between

<br />Ccmmunication was read from the Planning Commission recommending denial of Variance
<br />Application No. 1263, filed by W. H. Borter, to construct three apartments over a
<br />six-car garage, on a lot with four existing apartments, on property at 422 E. Chest~
<br />nut Avenue, in the R-2 District. Mr. I. H. Pennington, 510 E. Myrtle Street, stat*~
<br />he represented the property owners in that district, and that a petition signed by
<br />approximately 26 persons was filed with the Planning Commission opposing this Var-
<br />lance. Attorney John Gilbert, representing the applicant, showed some pictures of
<br />
<br />the area and said there were two double apartment buildings on Myrtle and Maple
<br />
<br />Streets, and a Six-Unit apartment buildi~ on the corner of Maple Street and Chest.
