L. Hankin, Certified Public ~ccountant, representing ABC Carpet CompaJ.~, <br />advisi~ their client remitted check for $72.00 covering prior quarter license fee <br />plus 100~ penalty of $36.00, and requesting reduction in the penalty for late filln <br />as their client never received the form prior to this time, was referred to the <br />Manager for investigation and report. <br /> <br />On motion of Councilman Hetnly, seconded by Brewer and carried, the proposed Ordi- <br />nance regulating taxicabs, as submitted by the City Attorney, will be given first <br />reading at the next regular meeting. <br /> <br />On motion of Councilman Brewer, seconded by Heinly and carried, the following <br />Ordinance entitled: <br /> <br /> "Ordinance repealing Santa Ana Municipal Code Sections h2B1 and h232" <br /> <br />was introduced, considered and placed on file for second reading. <br /> <br />The Manager oral~ reported on the request of John E. Hoff for speed limit signs <br />on English Street, between 17th Street and Washington ~veuue, and stated that the <br />Police Department has been informed of the speed violations, and authorization give <br />for the installation of 25 miles per hour speed limit signs. On motion of Council- <br />man Hubbard, seconded by Gould and carried, the oral report was accepted and the <br />communication ordered filed. <br /> <br />It was moved by Councilman Hubbard, seconded by Gould and carried, that the request <br />of W. F. Croddy, 122 South Broadway, be denied, for a two-hour parking zone on <br />Walnut Street~ between Broadway and Bush Street. <br /> <br />The Council having unanimously waived the reading of the Resolution, on motion of <br />Councilman Gould, seconded by Hubbard and carried, the following Resolution entitle <br /> <br /> "Resolution No. 60-62 concerning parking limitations and curb <br /> markings in accordance therewith" <br /> <br />establishing 24-minute parking zones on the west side of Broadway between Third <br />and Fourth Streets, reference request of Leon E.
