Titchenal, 812 .No. Olive Stree% for elleged personal injuries, <br />in the amount of $53~B17.50, due to a fall on the sidewalk at 701 No. Flower Streeti. <br /> <br />On motion of Councilman Hubbard~ seconded by Brewer and carried~ the following appli- <br />cations to solicit funds were granted: <br /> <br /> Orange County Council of National Multiple Sclerosis~ in association with the <br />Southern California Chapt~e~, to solicit f~mds May 8 through June 1% 1960~ for <br />research into the cause and cure of Multiple Sclerosis~ patient care and rehsbili- <br />tation clinics for MS victims, <br /> <br /> Community Clubs and Camping Secretary~ Young Men's Christian Association~ <br />205 W. Eighth Stree% to solicit funds, through the sale of peanuts, the night of <br />April 25 and including July l, 1960, to provide funds for yo%%ngsters to go to camp~ <br />and <br /> Ernest E. Kellogg Post No. 1680~ Veterans of Foreign Wars, to solicit fund~ ar <br />sell poppies on the streets, Wmy 20th and 21st, 196% by both members of Post 1680 <br />and the Ladies ' Auxiliary. <br /> <br />A petition was presented signed by approximately 47 persons requesting the Departm~ ~t <br />of Public Works to prepare a petition to initiate a Sewer Assessment District in th~ <br /> <br />area bounded by Verano Street on the west~ Hazard Avenue on the north~ Newhope Aver <br />on the east and 5th Street on the south. On motion of Councilman Hubbard, seeonde~ <br />by Heinly and carried: the petition was referred to the Department of Public Works <br />for investigation and proper action. <br /> <br />It was moved by Councilman Hubbard~ seconded by Fein]y and carried~ thst the heari~ <br /> <br />date on the "Bairns Annex No. 1" be reset to ~mgust 1~ 1960, <br /> <br />On motion of Councilman Hubbard~ seconded by Heinly and carried, the annexation <br /> <br />designated "South Santa ~na Annex No. 2" was declared null and void and all_ proceed~ <br />ings terminated under the Inhabited Act. ii <br />It was moved by Councilman Hubbard~ seconded by Heinly and carr~ed~ that the requesll <br />of the Secretary of City Schools be denied for s crosswalk to be located approximat <br /> <br />midwsy between Bristol Street and College Avenue, for students parking on the north <br /> <br />side of 17th Street. <br /> <br />The Council having unanimously waived the reading of the ~esolution, <br /> <br />on motion of <br /> <br />Councilman Heinly~seconded by Hubbard and carried, the fo]lowing Mesolution entltl~. <br /> <br />"Resolution No. 60-93 concerning parking limitations and curb <br />markings in accordance therew-lth" <br /> <br />establishing No Parking Zones on the west side of Broadway between McFadden Avenue <br /> <br />and Cubbon Street, as reco~m~ende8 by the Department of Publ~_c Works~ ~.s consider~ <br />and passed by the follmcing vote: <br /> <br />Ayes, Councilmen Boya!
