<br />Communication was presented from the Planning Department recommending approval of
<br />Preliminary Record of Survey No. 168, filed by Donald L. Coleman and Jacoba V.
<br />Obispo, creating two parcels located at the southeast corner of Sugar Avenue and
<br />Verano Street, subject to conditions. Ray }4ercado, 1301 Euclid Avemue, Garden
<br />Grove, stated the conditions were acceptable to his client, except condition "e"
<br />requiring improvement of Verano Street, including Service Road and Sugar Avenue,
<br />as shown on the Record of Survey; also that condition "g" provide for any adequate
<br />storm drain structure approved by the Department of Public Works, rather than the
<br />36-inch reinforced concrete pipe storm drain set forth in the condition.

<br />Councilman Heinl~ arrived at 8 P.M.
<br />
<br />On motion of Councilman Gould, seconded by Brewer and carried, Preliminary Record
<br />of Survey Map No. 168 was approved, subject to conditions "a", "b", "c", "d", "f"
<br />and "h'~ as recorm~ended by the Planning Department, and that condition "e" be com-
<br />plied with and the owner enter into an agreement with the City to improve the west
<br />~00 feet of Sugar Avenue and Verano Street, if and when the same are ready to be
<br />occupied ~nd prior to issuance of Building permits; and that condition "g" be com-
<br />plied with and the 36-inch reinforced concrete pipe be substituted for any pipe as
<br />hereinai%er approved by the Department of Public Works.

<br />On motion of Councilman Gould, seconded by Heinly and carried, proper ~ficials
<br />were authorized to execute agreement dated May 16, 1960, with the Southern Pacific
<br />Company for recovery of cost for off-site sewer along westerly side of Birch Street,
<br />south of Delhi Road; and renewal of lease No. DA-O~-S76-NG-251, dated July l, 1960,
<br />with the California Air National Guard, for rental of certain facilities at the
<br />Community Center, for a period of one year beginning July l, 1960, at a rental of
<br />$100.00 per month.
<br />
<br />It was moved by Councilman Gould, seconded by Brewer and carried, that escrow
<br />instructions dated May 9, 1960, and amended escrow instructions dated May ll, 1960,
<br />be approved and signed with William C. and Mignonne Borland, for property on the
<br />east side of Garnsey Street, north of Sixth Street, for the Civic Center site, in
<br />the su~ of $12,750.00.

<br />The Council having unanimously waived the reading of the Resolution, on motion of
<br />Councilm~n Gould, seconded by Brewer and carried,the following Resolution entitled:
<br />
<br /> "Resolution No.60-98 accepting deed where City is paying
<br /> cash consideration"
<br />
<br />from William C. and Mignonne Borland~ for property on the east side of Garnsey
<br />Street, the fourth lot north of Sixth Street, known and numbered 619 No. Garnsey
<br />Street, in the sum of $12,750.00, was considered and passed by the following vote:
<br />

<br />The Council having unadimously waived the reading of the Resolution, on motion of

<br />

<br />on June 6, 1960, was considered and passed by the following vote:
