454 Preliminary Record of Survey No. 168 Donald L. Coleman, et al Southern Pacific Co.~ Lease Renewal Calif.Air National Guard Escrow Instructions Reso.No.60-98 Accept deed William C.Borland Reso.No.60-99 Declaring intention to vacate Sullivan St. north of 5th St. (set hearing date) requiring the establishment of the street described as "A" Street be deleted from the required conditions. Communication was presented from the Planning Department recommending approval of Preliminary Record of Survey No. 168, filed by Donald L. Coleman and Jacoba V. Obispo, creating two parcels located at the southeast corner of Sugar Avenue and Verano Street, subject to conditions. Ray }4ercado, 1301 Euclid Avemue, Garden Grove, stated the conditions were acceptable to his client, except condition "e" requiring improvement of Verano Street, including Service Road and Sugar Avenue, as shown on the Record of Survey; also that condition "g" provide for any adequate storm drain structure approved by the Department of Public Works, rather than the 36-inch reinforced concrete pipe storm drain set forth in the condition. Councilman Heinl~ arrived at 8 P.M. On motion of Councilman Gould, seconded by Brewer and carried, Preliminary Record of Survey Map No. 168 was approved, subject to conditions "a", "b", "c", "d", "f" and "h'~ as recorm~ended by the Planning Department, and that condition "e" be com- plied with and the owner enter into an agreement with the City to improve the west ~00 feet of Sugar Avenue and Verano Street, if and when the same are ready to be occupied ~nd prior to issuance of Building permits; and that condition "g" be com- plied with and the 36-inch reinforced concrete pipe be substituted for any pipe as hereinai%er approved by the Department of Public Works. On motion of Councilman Gould, seconded by Heinly and carried, proper ~ficials were authorized to execute agreement dated May 16, 1960, with the Southern Pacific Company for recovery of cost for off-site sewer along westerly side of Birch Street, south of Delhi Road; and renewal of lease No. DA-O~-S76-NG-251, dated July l, 1960, with the California Air National Guard, for rental of certain facilities at the Community Center, for a period of one year beginning July l, 1960, at a rental of $100.00 per month. It was moved by Councilman Gould, seconded by Brewer and carried, that escrow instructions dated May 9, 1960, and amended escrow instructions dated May ll, 1960, be approved and signed with William C. and Mignonne Borland, for property on the east side of Garnsey Street, north of Sixth Street, for the Civic Center site, in the su~ of $12,750.00. The Council having unanimously waived the reading of the Resolution, on motion of Councilm~n Gould, seconded by Brewer and carried,the following Resolution entitled: "Resolution No.60-98 accepting deed where City is paying cash consideration" from William C. and Mignonne Borland~ for property on the east side of Garnsey Street, the fourth lot north of Sixth Street, known and numbered 619 No. Garnsey Street, in the sum of $12,750.00, was considered and passed by the following vote: Ayes, Councilmen Stanley C. Hall The Council having unadimously waived the reading of the Resolution, on motion of Councilman Gould, seconded by Brewer and carried, the following Resolution entitled: "Resolution No. 60-99 approving map and declaring intention to vacate Sullivan Street north of Fifth Street" as reccm~ended by the Department of Public Works, and setting the date of hearing on June 6, 1960, was considered and passed by the following vote:
