<br />It was moved by Councilman Gould, seconded by Hubbard and carried, that a hearing

<br />date be set on July 18, 1960, to amend Municipal Code provisions regulating dancing
<br />
<br />and to remove the requirement that a Public Dancing Place must be a place holding
<br />
<br />an "On-Sale" General License permitting the sale of alcoholic beverages
<br />
<br />On motion of Counci]mmn Gould, seconded by Hubbard and carried, action on the request
<br />
<br />of Maximino Preciado, owner of the La Paloma Cafe, 900 E. hth Street, for permit to
<br />
<br />use the property at the rear of the Cafe to construct a patio and use said patio for
<br />
<br />dining and dancing was postponed to July 18, 1960.

<br />~?~2City of Orange "Annexation No. 137," and advising the boundaries of the proposed
<br /> annexation are reasonably definite and certain,

<br /> From the Boundary Commission regarding proposed annexation of territory to the
<br /> City of Westminster "Annexation No. 30 - Uninhabited" and advising the Boundary Com-
<br />~o3mission ordered the 'matter referred back to the City of Westminster for re-submis-
<br /> sion of a corrected description, map and cover letter,
<br />
<br /> From the City of Buena Park submitting copy of their City Council's Minutes of
<br /> May 31, 1960, regarding the proposed selling by the owner, Mr. Jones, to the State of
<br />fp,~&California, of 65 acres of property in the north end of the Bellehurst area, to be
<br /> used as a borrow pit, and soliciting the support of our City Council in their en-
<br /> deavor to stop this project which would be detrimental to that particular area,
<br />
<br /> From the San Diego County Water Authority submitting their statement and one
<br /> from the San Diego Chamber of Commerce Water Committee of their position in relation
<br />~to the proposal of the City of Los Angeles to change the organization and operation
<br /> of the Metropolitan Water District of Southern California, and advising the proposal,
<br /> if successfully accomplished, would be disastrous to the San Diego County area,
