491 Council Chamber Santa Ana City Hall July 18, 1960 7:30 P.M. City Council met in regular session. Meeting called to order by the Mayor. Present: Councilmen Royal E. Hubbard, Stanley C. Gould, Jr., Dale H. Heinly, A. A. Hall Absent: Councilmen Bob Brewer The Pledge of Allegiance was given. Invocation was given by Reverend Alex Kaders~ Grand Avenue Church, E~angelical United Brethren. Each member of the City Council having received copies of the Minutes of July 5, 1960, reading of the Minutes was dispensed with and approved on motion of Councilman Hubbard, seconded by Gould and carried. Bid acceptance Resurface North Main St. Unit VII, Project 102 A tabulation of bids was presented for the resurfacing of North Main Street, between 4th and 7th Streets, Unit VII of Project 102, as follows: Griffith Corporation Sully-Miller Contracting Co. Total Bond '$'io,~2.5o $1,o~.~5 8,560.50 10g On motion of Councilma~ Gould, seconded by Hubbard and carried, the low bid of Sully-Miller Contracting Company was accepted at the unit prices and in the total amount of $8,560.50~ and subject to the appropriation of sharing funds by the State Bid Traffic signal, frame- works, pedestrian signals and masts Division of Highways, and the other bid was rejected. On motion of Councilman Hubbard, seconded by Heinly and carried, action was post- poned to August l~ 1960, on the award of the bid for the furnishing and delivering of 7 each complete Two-way Traffic Signal Frameworks~ h each Two-color Walk-Wait Pedestrian Signals, 10 each 15-foet Masts, also various other associated equipment, Hearing Regulating Dance Halls and Dancing Ordinance Specification No. 643-4. ,, This being the date set for hearing to amend the Santa Aha Municipal Code provisions regulating dancing and to remove the requirement that a Public Dancing Place must be a place holding an "On-Sale" General License permitting the sale of alcoholic
