Council Chamber <br />Santa Ana City Hall <br />August 22, 1960 7:30 P.M. <br /> <br />City Council met in adjourned regular session. <br />Meeting called to order by the Mayor. <br /> <br />Present: Councilmen <br /> <br />Absent: Councilmen <br /> <br />Hearing <br />Budget <br />1960-61 <br /> <br />Royal E. Hubbard, Stanley C. Gould, Jr., Dale H. Heinly, <br />Bob Brewer, A. ~. Hall <br />Hone <br /> <br /> This being the date set for hearing on the proposed Budget for the fiscal year <br /> 1960-61, the Mayor declared a notice of public hearing on the proposed Budget had <br /> been published in The Register, and on motion of Councilman Heinly, seconded by <br /> <br />Hubbard and carried, the affidavit of publication was received and filed. The Mayo~ <br /> <br />asked if anyone wished to be heard, and J. Ogden Markel, 181~ South Parton Street, <br /> <br />commended the City Administration on the many fine accomplishments achieved in the <br /> <br />past year, and urged the Council members to accept the lower tax rate of $1.37, in <br /> <br />keeping with the incc~e and potential income of the City, as recommended by the <br /> <br />Chamber of Commerce and the City Manager in the proposed Budget. The hearing was <br /> <br />closed. <br /> <br /> <br />
