1! ~ppointment Planning Commission d~ Leave of Absence Dale H. Heinly Reso.No.60-165 Urging ~egistration to vote in S2atewide and Presidential election November Leave of Absence Stanley C. Gould,Jr. Library Board~ term to expire June 50, 1964. It was moved by Councilman Gould and seconded by Heinly, that Philip Reilly be nominated as a member of the Plan~Ing C~mmission to fill the vacancy created by the resignation of Robert J. MacFarlane. It was moved by Councilman Gould, secon~ by Hubbard and carried, the nomination be closed~ and Philip Reilly appointed as a member of the Planning Commission; term to expire July l, 1962. On motion of Councilman Hubbard, seconded by Brewer and carried, the oral request Councilman Dale H. Heinly was granted to leave the City and be absent from the regular Council Meeting scheduled on September 6, 1960. The Council having unanimously waived the reading of the Resolution, on motion of Councilman Hubbard, seconded by Brewer and carried, the following Resolution entitled: "Resolution No.60-165 of the City Cotuncil of the City of Santa Ana, California, urging all qualified persons to register as voters for the general Statewide and Presidential Election to be held November 8, 1960'! was considered and passed by the following vote: ~yes, Councilmen Royal E. Hubbard, Stanley C. Gould, Jr., Dale H. Heinly, Bob Brewer, ~. A. Hall Noes, CounciLmen None Absent, Councilmen None On motion of CounciLm~ n Hubbard, seconded by Heinly and carried, CoLmcilman Stanle C; Gould, Jr., was orally granted permission to leave the United States,beginnin~ November l, 1960, for approximately three weeks, and authorization for necessary expenses, to attend the 15th Annual International Conference in Tel~Aviv, Israel.
