Main Street. <br /> <br />On motion of Counci~m~u Hubbard, seconded by Gould and carried, the request of the <br /> <br />Department of Public Works was approved to formally adopt SCR-62 Report of Calif- <br /> <br />ornis County Road and City Street Deficiencies submitted bY the State Division of <br /> <br />Highways, so that the Interim Committee will be informed the Report represents the <br /> <br />Release Bond <br />Tract No. 3505 <br /> <br />official viewpoint ofthe City. <br /> <br />On motion of Councilman Hubbard, seconded by Heinly and carried, bond in the sum of <br /> <br />500.00, filed by Harry Taneredi-Metropolitan Savings and Loan Association, for <br /> <br />the improvements of 25 lots located at l~th, 16th and 17th Streets and Easts ide <br /> <br /> and Specifications <br />Construct Fairview St. <br /> Segerstrom Ave. and <br />Delhi Rd.,Project 122~ <br /> Segerstrom Ave. <br />btn Harbor Blvd. and <br /> St.,Project 125~ <br /> Delhi Road btn Fair- <br />view and Greenville Sts., <br /> <br />Avenue, in Tract No. 3505, was ordered released and improvements accepted as comple <br />On motion of Councilman Hubbard, seconded by Gould and carried, the request of the <br />Department of Public Works was granted, and the plans and specifications approved, <br />on the following projects: <br /> <br /> Construction of ~airview Street between Segerstrom Avenue and Delhi Road, <br />Project l~ <br /> · <br /> <br /> Construction of Segerstrom Avenue between Harbor Boulevard and Greenville <br />Street~ Project 125; and <br /> <br />Petition <br />Improve east <br />half Harper St. <br /> <br /> Widening of Delhi Road between Fairview Street and Greenville Street, Project <br />C-5~. <br /> <br />Communication was presented from the Department of Public Works, reference petitioz <br /> <br />signed by approximately ten property owners requesting thzt action be taken to <br /> <br />acquire and improve the east half of Harper Street from Sugar Avenue to a point 119 <br /> <br />feet north, and recon~ending that the owners on the east side of Harper Street <br /> <br />contact the developer of Tract 3713 and determine what the cost to the o~rners .~ould <br /> <br />be for improving the east side of Harper Street, at the same time as the developer <br /> <br />improves the west half of Harper Street; also advising that before the City would <br /> <br />accept the east half of Harper Street for maintenance, the property o~ners would <br /> <br />have to dedicate, as well as improve, this half of the street. On motion of Counci <br /> <br />man Hubbard, seconded by Heinly and carried, the communication was received~ filed <br /> <br />and the Manager directed to contact the petitioners relative to the improvements of <br /> <br />~rit salary <br />increases <br /> <br />said street. <br /> <br />On motion of Councilman Hubbard, seconded by Gould and carrfed~ the written recom- <br />mendation of the Manager, dated September 15, 1960, was approved~ for salary step <br /> <br />~lication to <br /> Funds <br />~?/ <br /> <br />increases for five emPloyees~ effective October 1~ 1960. <br /> <br />On motion of Councilman Hubbard, seconded by Brewer and carried, the application of <br /> <br />Suzan Perrault Auxiliary~ City of Hope, was granted to solicit funds October 1, 196, <br /> <br />to January 31~ 1961, to help finance patient care and research at the City of Hope <br /> <br /> Board; <br />.icle Parking <br /> No. i <br /> <br /> Center in Duarte, California. <br /> <br /> On motion of Councilman Gould, seconded by Hubbard and carried, action on the follo' <br /> lng appointments was continued to the next regular meeting: <br /> <br /> One appointment to be made on the Personnel Board, to fill vacancy created by <br />~?the resignation of Sam E.
