RESOLUTION NO. 81-176 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA <br />FIXING CHARGES FOR WATER SERVICE INSTALLATION AND REPEALING <br />RESOLUTION NO. 80-185 <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Santa Ana: <br /> <br />1. That the following rates are to be charged prior to installation of water <br />service, for each water service installed by the Water Division of the Public <br />Works, as provided for in Section 39-19 of the Santa Ana Municipal Code: <br /> <br />A. WATER SERVICE <br /> <br />Size of Service & Meter Service Fee Meter Fee Combined Fee <br /> <br />l" 5/8 x 3/4" $550 $30 $580 <br />1" 3/4 x 1" 550 45 595 <br />1" 1" 550 70 620 <br />1-1/2" 1-1/2" 850 175 1025 <br />2" 2" 950 230 1180 <br /> <br />The rate to be Charged for relocating a service meter <br />fifteen (15) feet or less shall be one-half said cost <br /> <br />a distance of <br />of service <br /> <br />installation, based upon the size of service, and the rate charged for <br />relocating a service meter a distance of more than fifteen (15) feet <br />shall be the same as for the cost of service installation, based upon <br />the size of service. <br /> <br />The rate to be charged for an increase in the size of service shall be <br />the same as for cost of service installation for the large size of service. <br /> <br />B. SERVICE INSTALLATION OUTSIDE CITY LIMITS <br /> <br />The rate to be charged for installation of water service outside the City <br />limits shall be the same as for installation within the City. <br /> <br />C. DEPOSIT <br /> <br />The installation of larger services, fire services, backflow protection <br />devices, or any other service not mentioned herein, nor specifically <br />provided for in any other ordinance or resolution of the City of Santa <br />Aha, shall be made on the basis of cost, including overhead. In any <br />such installation, the applicant shall post the deposit in an amount <br />estimated by the Director of Public Works to be sufficient to cover the <br />total charge. In the event the actual cost is less than the deposit, <br />the balance shall be refunded to the applicant, and if more, shall be <br />paid by the applicant upon receipt of additional billing. <br /> <br />2. That no charge shall be made for installing a water service if the <br />applicant installs the water service at his own expense, to the satisfaction <br />of the Director of Public Works. <br /> <br />3. That the following rates are to be charged prior to installation of a <br />water meter, for each water meter installed on any water service installed by <br />other than the Water Division of the Department of Public Works, as provided <br />for in Section 39-19 and 39-25{J) of the Santa Ana Municipal Code. <br /> <br />D.
