RESOLUTION NO. 82-66 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA FIXING CHARGES FOR WATER SERVICE INSTALLATION AND REPEALING RESOLUTION NO. 81-176 BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Santa Ana: 1. That the following rates are to be charged prior to installation of water service, for each water service installed by the Water Division of the Public Works, as provided for Section 39-19 of the Santa Aha Municipal Code: A. WATER SERVICE Size of Service & Meter Service Fee Meter Fee Combined Fee l" 5/8 x 3/4" $635 $30 $665 1" 3/4 x l" 635 50 685 l" 1" 635 75 710 1-1/2" l-l/2" 725 190 915 2" 2" 850 250 llO0 The rate to be charged for relocating a service meter a distance of fifteen (15} feet or less shall be one-half said cost of service installation, based upon the size of service, and the rate charged for relocating a service meter a distance of more than fifteen {15) feet shall be the same as for the cost of service installation, based upon the size of service. The rate to be charged for an increase in the size of service shall be the same as for cost of service installation for the large size of service. B. SERVICE INSTALLATION OUTSIDE CITY LIMITS The rate to be charged for installation of water service outside the City limits shall be the same as for installation within the City. C. DEPOSIT The installation of larger services, fire services, backflow protection devices, or any other service not mentioned herein, nor specifically provided for in any other ordinance or resolution of the City of Santa Aha, shall be made on the basis of cost, including overhead. In any such installation, the applicant shall post the deposit in an amount estimated by the Director of Public Works to be sufficient to cover the total charge. In the event the actual cost is less than the deposit, the balance shall be refunded to the applicant, and if n~re, shall be paid by the applicant upon receipt of additional billing.
