<br />continuation of a bad situation which affects this particular territory, which
<br />
<br />situation is rapidl~r bec~ning worse, and in fairness 8nd Justice must be corrected;'
<br />
<br />said sewer service to be furnished upon certification from the City Attorney; that
<br />
<br />the owners and operators of The Revere House have filed a proper legal action for ~he
<br />
<br />purpose of compelling deannexation of the real property upon which The Revere House
<br />is located; and further, that said owners and operators of The Revere House agree
<br />to undertake and prosecute such legal action to a final conclusion in the court of
<br />
<br />last resort in the State of California.
<br />
<br />On motion of Councilman Hubbard, seconded by Gould and carried, proper officials
<br />
<br />were authorized to execute the following agreements:
<br />
<br /> With the Rcm Investment Company, dated October 17, 1960, for the recovery of
<br />cost for off-site sewer on Standard Avenue from the southerly boundary of Tract
<br />No. 3533 to a point 1875 feet south of said southerly tract boundary, the sum of
<br />$1.51 per front foot on each side of the street; and on Standard Avenue from the
<br />southerly boundary of Tract No~ 3533 to a lamphole 977 feet north of the southerly i.
<br />tract boundary, the sum of $1.51 per front foot on the west side of the street;
<br />
<br /> With J. W. Lenney, dated October 17, 1960, for the recovery of cost for off-
<br />site sewer within Tract No. 3708, on Sherry Lane from 5 feet north to 701 feet
<br />north of the center line of Sixth Street the sum of $1.55 per front foot on the
<br />east side of the street; on Sixth Street from Mabury Street to the west property
<br />line of Tract No. 3708, the sum of $1.55 per front foot on each side of the street;i
<br />on Sixth Street from the prolongation of the west property line of Tract No. 3708
<br />to a point 5 feet west of the center line of Sherry Lane, the sum of $1.55 per front
<br />foot on the south side of the street; and
<br />
<br /> With Land Acquisition Service, dated O~tober 3, 1960, to negotiate for rightsL
<br />of-way On forty parcels of property on Bolsa Avenue, between Harbor Boulevard and
<br />Cooper Drive, for purposes of street widening.

<br />Mayor Hall left the Chair. Councilman Gould assumed the Chair. It was moved by
<br />
<br />Counc~m~u Hubbard, seconded by Hall and carried, that escrow instructions be apprOVed
<br />
<br />and signed for certain properties and with the following persons:
<br />
<br /> Escrow Instructions No. h539h-F, dated October 7, 1960, with Hazel E. Green-
<br />field and Alta Mae Curnutt, for property on the south side of Eighth Street~ east
<br />of Garnsey Street, for Civic Center site, in the sum of $17,700.00, and
<br />
<br /> Escrow Instructions No. ~5381-F, dated October 5, 1960, with Earl Perry and i~
<br />Anna L. Sheflin, for property at 815 West Sixth Street, on the north side of Sixth Ii
<br />Street, east of Flower Street, for Civic Center site, in the sum of $11,03~.00, and!
<br />further the City of Santa Ana is to pay to the grantors, and through the same escroW,
<br />an additional sum of $200.00 for certain personal property, itemized in the Escrow~
<br />Instructions.

<br />The Council having unanimously waived the reading of the Resolution, on motion of

<br />Councilma~ Hubbard, seconded by Hall and carried, the following Resolution entitled:

<br /> paying a cash consideration"
<br />
<br />from Hazel E. Greenfield and Alta Mae Curnutt, for property on the south side of
<br />
<br />Eighth Street, east of Garnsey Street, for Civic Center site, in the sum of
<br />$17,700.00; and. from Earl Perry and Anna L. Sheflin, for property at 815 West Sixth
<br />Street, on the north side of Sixth Street, east of Flower Street, for Civic Center
<br />site, in the sum of $11,03~.00, and further the City of Santa Aha is to pay to the ~
<br />
<br />grantors, and through the same escrow, an additional sum of $200.00 for certain
<br />
<br />personal property, itemized in the Escrow Instructions, was considered and passed
<br />by the following vote:
