REL:adg <br />4/8/82 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 82-48 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF <br />THE CITY OF SANTA ANA APPROVING <br />CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT NO. 81-25 AND <br />VARIANCE NO. 81-36 TO ALLOW AN OFF- <br />PREMISE ADVERTISING SIGN ON PROPERTY <br />LOCATED AT 1501 S. TROTTER STREET <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this Council held a public hearing on <br />April 5, 1982 on Conditional Use Permit Application No. 81- <br />25, to allow construction of an off-premise advertising sign <br />at 1501 S. Trotter Street in the M1 District, and on <br />Variance Application 81-36, to allow the said sign to be <br />constructed within 1000 feet of a freeway and in excess of <br />35 feet high; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, prior to taking action on the said <br />applications, this Council has reviewed the negative <br />declaration (I.S. No. 81-193) prepared for the project; <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL <br />OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> 1. Based upon the evidence submitted at the abovesaid <br />hearing this Council finds and determines as follows: <br /> <br /> (a) As conditioned hereinbelow, the subject <br />sign is consistent with a policy of providing a <br />moderate amount of outdoor advertising space in <br />appropriate locations in the City, which service <br />contributes to the general well-being of the <br />community. <br /> <br /> (b) The subject sign will not have a significant <br />adverse effect on persons or property in the vicinity, <br />due to the circumstances of its location and sur- <br />roundings and the conditions of approval hereinbelow. <br /> <br /> (c) The subject sign will be in compliance <br />with all relevant zoning regulations and conditions <br />other than those from which a variance is herein <br />approved. <br /> <br /> (d) As conditioned hereinbelow, the subject <br />sign will not have a significant adverse effect on <br />the future development of the surrounding area in <br />accordance with the General Plan of the City. <br /> <br /> <br />
