<br /> an additional 90 days. Motion lost for lack of a second. It was moved by Couucil,

<br />Preliminary Record of Survey Map No. 198, filed by Shareholders Broperties, Inc.,
<br />creating four parcels located on the west side of Grand Avenue approx~m-tely 7BO
<br />feet north of Delhi Road, subject to conditions. John N. Hoy, 844 North Birch
<br />Street, stated this Map supersedes Preliminary Record of Survey Map No. 166, filed
<br />by S.P.I. Development Corporation, for the same property, which was approved by
<br />the City Council, May 2, 1960, subject to conditions~ except that no sidewalks be
<br />required on Hathaway Street and Anahurst Place, as this is industrial property.
<br />Mr. Hoy stated that Preliminary Record of Survey Map No. 198 eliminates the improv,
<br />ment of sidewalks on Anahurst Plaee~ and requested the further elimination of side.
<br />walks on Hathaway Street~ as this will be developed as c~ercial property. On
<br />motion of Councilman Hubbard, seconded by Gould and carried, Preliminary Record of
<br />Survey Map No. 198 wes approved, eliminating the sidewalk requirement on Hathaway
<br />Street, and subject to all other conditions.

<br />Communication was presented from Boyle Engineering, dated December 30, 1960, re-
<br />questing Council consideration to delete requirement by pl~nBing C~.~t ssion, for
<br />the construction of a turn-around at the northerly end of Acacia Place, reference
<br />Tentative Tract Map No. 3374, on property located between Memory Lane, Flower
<br />Street, and the Santa Aha Freeway, creating ~7 residential lots and one large site
<br />and submitting plot plan for the development of LOt ~8, as proposed by the Farmers
<br />Insurance Cempany. Cc~manication was presented from the Planning Director, dated
<br />January 16, 1961, stating that if the cul-de-sac were to be eliminated, it would
<br />result in a better street layout, if a knuckle were required at proposed Acacia
<br />Place and Farmers Drive, so that a standard drive approach and sidewalks could be
<br />placed. On motion of Councilman Gould, seconded by HUbbard and carried, the com-
<br />munication fron the Planning Director was received and filed. It was moved by
<br />Councilman Gould, seconded by Hubbard and carried, that no action be taken,
<br />a n d the Planning Director so notify Boyle Engineering.
