Suckow. <br /> <br />On motion of Councilm~n Hubbard, seconded by Gould and carried, the bonds were or- <br />dered released and improvements accepted as completed on the following Tracts: <br /> <br /> Bond in the sum of $98,0OO.00,~iled by Fairlane H~mes, Inc., for the improve- <br />ments of 91 single-famil~v residential lots located on the south side of Sugar <br />Avenue approximately 660 feet east of Newhope Street, in Tract No. 3656, and <br /> <br /> Bond in the sum of $17,000.00, filed by Fairlane Homes, Inc., for the improve. <br />ments of 15 residential lots located east of Newhope Street and north of the Newhe <br />Elementary School, in Tract No. 371~. <br /> <br />On motion of Councilman Hubbard, seconded by Gould and carried, the following <br />Applications to Solicit Funds were granted: <br /> <br /> City of Hope, 208 W. Eighth Street, Los Angeles, to conduct the house-to-hous <br />campaign on Sunday, June ~, 1961, and <br /> <br /> Orange County Society for Crippled Children and Adults, Inc., through the sale <br />of paper lapel Easter Lilies on the streets on March 2~th and 25th, 1961, as a <br />part of the 1961 Easter Seal Campaign. <br /> <br />On motion of Councilman Hubbard, seconded by Gould and carried, the request of the <br />Santiago Girl Scout Council was granted to change the date of their Cookie Sale <br />from February 10 through March 20, 1961, to March ~ thro,,gb March 25, 1961. <br />Petitions were presented signed by approximately 1~8 property owners to provide fo~ <br />sanitary sewer mains and sewer laterals to serve the area northwest of Westminster <br />Avenue and Berrydale Street, Assessment District No. 210; and the Mar-Less Drive <br />area south of Westminster Avenue, Assessment District No. 211, and on motion of <br />Councilman Hubbard, seconded by Heinly and carried, the petitions were referred to <br />the Department of Public Works for checking the percentage of valid signatures witl <br />the records of the County Assessor's office. <br /> <br />On motion of Councilman Hubbard, seconded by Gould and carried, the following Ordi. <br />nance entitled: <br /> <br /> "Ordinance amending Section ~212.2 of the Santa Ana Municipal <br /> Code to add Van Ness Street cul-de-sac to list of streets <br /> where diagonal parking is permitted" <br /> <br />establishing seven angle parking stalls around the cul-de-sac in Tract No. llS~, <br /> <br />reference requests of Charlie Gossett and C. C. and Ruth C. Kemper, was introduced~ <br />considered and placed c~ file for Second reading. <br /> <br />Th~ Council having unanimously waived the reading of the Resolution, on motion of <br />Councilman Hubbard, seconded by Gould and carried, the following Resolution entitl, <br /> <br /> "Resolution No. 61-28 concerning parking limitations and curb <br /> markings in aecol~lance therewith" <br /> <br />establishing No Parking Zones on the west side of North Ross Street, between Wash- <br />ington Avenue and Fifteenth Street, as recommended by the Department ~f Public <br />Works, was considered and passed by the following vote: <br /> <br />Ayes, Councilmen Royal E.
