<br />City Council met in regular session.
<br />Meeting called to order by the Mayor.
<br />

<br />Councilmen Royal E. Hubbard, Stanley C. Gould, Jr.,
<br /> Dale H. Heinly, Bob Brewer, A. A. Hall
<br />
<br />Absent: Councilmen None
<br />
<br />The Pledge of Allegiance was given.
<br />
<br />Invocation was given by Reverend James Carr, St. Peter's Lutheran Church.
<br />
<br />Each member of the City Council having received copies of the Minutes of
<br />February 6, 1961, reading of the Minutes was dispensed with and approved
<br />on motion of Councilman Hubbard, seconded by Heinly and carried.
<br />
<br /> The Manager reported that the Director of Public Works had checked all of the bids

<br />received, and further reported that the bid of R. J. Noble Company was the lowest
<br />regular responsible bid received, and recv~aended that the contract be awarded to
<br />s~id low bidder, at the unit prices in their bid proposal and in the total amount
<br />of $21,179.12, for the improvement in Golden West Avenue and other streets (Assess
<br />
<br />ment District No. 2Ok) inthe City ofSanta Ana. The Council having unanimously
<br />
<br />waived the reading of the Resolution, on motion of CounciLman Gould, seconded by
<br />
<br />Hubbard and carried, the following Resolution entitled:
<br />
<br />"Resolution No. 61-37 of the City Council of the City of Santa Arm,
<br /> California, awarding the contract for the construction of certain
<br /> improvements in Golden West Avenue and other streets (Assessment
<br /> District No. 204) in said City, as described in Resolution of
<br /> Intention No. 60-249"
<br />
<br />a nd the City Council of the City of Santa ^na hereby reJect~ all of said proposal
<br />
<br />or bids except that herein mentioned, and awards the contract for doing said work
<br />
<br />and making said improvements to the lowest responsible bidder, R. J. Noble Company
<br />
<br />was considered and passed by t~ following vote:
