Cormm. <br /> <br />T~e Council having unanimously waived the reading of the Resolution, on motion of <br /> <br />Councilman Hubbard, seconded by Heinly and carried, the following Resolution <br /> <br />"Resolution No. 61-26 calling, ordering and providing for a <br />General Mmnicipal Election to be held April 2, 1961, in the <br />City of Santa Ana, California, and in territory within the <br />Santa Ana School Districts lying outside of the City of <br />Santa Aha for the election of three members of the City <br />Council and three members of the Board of Education; <br />designating the polling places, the hours of election, <br />offices to be filled and appointing election officers to <br />serve at said election" <br /> <br />was considered and passed by the following vote: <br /> <br />Ayes, Councilmen Royal E. Hubbard, Stanley C. Gould, Jr., <br /> Dale H. Heinly, Bob Brewer, A. A. Hall <br />Noes, Councilmen None <br />Absent, Councilmen None <br /> <br />The Council having unanimously waived the reading of the Resolution, on moti~ of <br /> <br />Councilmen Hubbard, seconded by Heinly and carried~ the following Resolution en- <br /> <br />titled: <br /> <br />"Resolution No. 61-27 authorizing condemnation of real property <br /> south of First Street for the construction of proposed Fairview <br /> Street" <br /> <br />to provide an artery for north and south vehicular traffic, was considered and <br /> <br />passed by the following vote: <br /> <br />Ayes, CounciLmen Royal E. Hall <br />Noes, Councilmen None <br />Absent ~ Councilmen None <br /> <br />On motion of Councilman Hubbard, seconded by' Heinly and carried, the communication <br /> <br />from Henry C. Cox and Affiliated Companies, was received and filed, requesting that <br /> <br />abandor,,ent proceedings be initiated for that portion of Old Delhi Road which has <br /> <br />been abandoned as to use, and which now lies within the boundaries of Lots i and 2 <br /> <br />of Tract No. 3963. <br /> <br />The Council having unanimously waived the reading of the Resolution, on motion of <br /> <br />Councilman Hubbard, seconded by Heinly and carried, the following Resolution en- <br /> <br />titled: <br /> <br />"Resolution No. 61-~8 approving map and declaring intention <br />to vaaate a portion of Delhi Road outside of the new align- <br />ment of Delhi Road, now Warner Avenue" <br /> <br />as petitioned by Henry C. Cox, and setting the date of hearing on March 20, 1961, <br /> <br />was considered and passed by the following vote: <br /> <br />Ayes, Councilmen Royal E. Hubbard, Stanley C. Hall <br />Noes, Councilmen None <br />Absent, Councilmen None <br /> <br />On motion of Councilman Hubbard, seconded by Brewer and carried, the following <br /> <br />Ordinance entitled: <br /> <br />"Ordinance providing for the holding of a General Municipal <br />Election in the City of Santa Aha, California, and in those <br />portions of the Santa Ana School Districts lying outside of <br />the City of Santa Ana, on April 2th, 1961, for the election <br />of City officers" <br /> <br />was introduced, considered and placed on file for second reading. <br /> <br />Amendment Application No. 338, initiated by the Planning Con~nission, was again pre- <br /> <br />sented, emending Sectional District Map 36-2-10, E~hibit 338-A, to reclassify frem <br /> <br />the A-1 to the lO0-Cl-lO, 000 District, property described as that area located at <br /> <br />the northeast and northwest corners of Bristol Street and Memory Lane. Mr. W.J.R. <br /> <br />Richardson, 12272 E. La Veta Street, stated this property has been in their family <br />for fifty years, and objected to the zone change which would devaluate the property. <br /> <br /> <br />
