Homer Nichols, requesting the relocation of crosswalk on Fourth Street at <br /> Minter Street, and the report from the Department of Public Works, advising the <br /> existing crosswalk Will be relocated to the west side of the street, were received <br /> ~nd filed. <br /> Communication was presented from Martin Scott, Scott and Company, owners of the <br /> <br /> Santa Ana Medical Center, submitting petiticns signed by mpproximately ~00 persons, <br /> for the installation of traffic signals at the corner of North Main Street and Edge <br /> wood Road, because of the congestion at this location. The Manager read the report <br /> from the Department of Public Works, stating it is their intention to make a more <br /> detailed study of this intersection when the next priority list is computed, and <br /> with the completion of the Main Street widening project, the approach from Edgewood <br /> Road onto Main Street will be made more accessible. On motion of Councilman Gc~ld, <br /> seconded by Hubbard and carried, the c~m~nicetion and petitions were received and <br /> filed. <br /> <br />The Council having unanimously waived the reading of the Resolution, on motion of <br />Councilman Hubbard, seconded by Brewer and carried, the following Resolution entitl~ <br /> <br /> "Resolution No. 61-68 expressing the opposition of the City <br /> Council of Santa ~na, California~ to Senate Bill 208" <br /> <br />regarding claims against public officers and employees, was considered and passed <br />by the following vote: <br /> <br />~yes~ Councilmen Royal E. Hubbard, Stanley C. Gould, Jr., <br /> Dale H. Heinly, Bob Brewer, ^. ^. Hall <br />Noes, Councilmen None <br />~bsent, Councilmen None <br /> <br />The Council having unanimously waived the reading of the Resolution, on motion of <br />Counci!~n Hubbard, seconded by Brewer and carried~ the following Resolution en- <br />titled: <br /> <br /> "Resolution No. 61-69 opposing the adoption of <br /> Assembly Bill 427" <br /> <br />and urging that the determination as to the ages of persons being initially employe~ <br />should be le~t to the discretion of the local agencies, was considered and passed <br />by the following vote: <br /> <br />~yes, Councilmen Royal E.
