Page 2 <br />(3) Private fire service rates with detector water meters, bi-monthly <br />standby charge for the fire portion of combination service. <br />Size of Fire Meter Rate <br />3" or less <br />$ 9.00 <br />4" <br />12.00 <br />6"18.00 <br />8"24.00 <br />10" <br />30.00 <br />12" <br />36.00 <br />Commodity charge to be added to said standby charge: <br />All water supplied as recorded by the detector meter (fire meter portion): <br />Per 100 Cubic Feet $ 0.60 <br />In the event of a fire certified by the Fire Chief, the charge will be <br />adjusted to exclude water used for fire suppression. <br />(4) Private fire service rates without detector check valves, bi-monthly <br />standby charge: <br />The charges shall be double the rates for private fire services with <br />detector check valves. <br />(5) Surcharge for Acquisition: That a surcharge of One Dollar ($1.00) <br />per month is to be levied and collected for each water service to which <br />water is supplied by the City, or to which a standby service is provided, <br />pursuant to Section 31-21 of the Santa Ana Municipal Code, for those ser- <br />vices acquired by the City of Santa Ana under and pursuant to that certain <br />agreement entitled "Water Systems Acquisition Agreement", dated 2-20-79, as <br />amended, provided and excepting, however, that the surcharge levied hereby <br />shall not apply to any dwelling in Tract 1944, the owners of which install- <br />ed a water system under and pursuant to proceedings had and taken under the <br />Improvement Act of 1911 heretofore. The surcharge levied hereby shall not <br />be charged beyond five (5) years from and after the date when said surcharge <br />is first levied. <br />C. SERVICE OUTSIDE CITY LIMITS <br />All rates and service charges for service to premises outside the City Limits <br />shall be double the above rates and charges except to those premises outside <br />the City limits heretofore served at the rates charged to those within the <br />City limits. <br />D. TEMPORARY WATER SERVICE <br />(1) Water for construction work and other uses such that service is re- <br />quired for only a limited time, not to exceed six months as provided for in <br />Section 39-26 of the Santa Ana Municipal Code: <br />
