RESOLUTION NO. 84-105 <br /> <br />A P~ESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />SANTA ANA AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 82-110 TO ADD <br />CERTAIN NEW CLASSIFICATIONS TO CLASSIFY AND <br />COMPENSATE NEW POSITIONS AUTHORIZED IN THE 1984- <br />85 ANNUAL BUDGET <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, on August 2, 1982, the City Council passed and adopted <br />Resolution No. 82-110 revising and re-establishing the basic Classification and <br />Compensation Plan for Officers and employees of the City of Santa Ana; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Section 1004, Article X of the City Charter of the City of <br />Santa Ana requires the City Manager to prepare, install and maintain a position <br />classification and pay plan subject to civil service rules and regulations and <br />the approval of the City Council; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, on May 14, 1984 the City Council approved an administrative <br />reorganization plan proposed by the City Manager; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, with the adoption of the 1984-85 Annual Budget, City Council <br />approved the addition of new positions throughout the City organization, includ- <br />ing a number of such positions which, due to significantly different duty, <br />responsibility and qualification requirements, cannot be allocated to existing <br />classes found in the City's Basic Classification and Compensation Plan (Resolution <br />NO. 82-110, as amended); and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, it is now desired to add several new class titles, together <br />with appropriate salary rate ranges, to the City's Basic Classification and <br />Compensation Plan; designate three such new classes as unrepresented Middle- <br />Management (MM); remove the middle-management designation from one existing <br />class; and add an assignment pay differential designation to an existing class <br />title. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />SANTA ANA: <br /> <br /> 1. That Section 3 of Resolution No. 82-110, as amended, is hereby further <br />amended by: <br /> <br /> a. Adding in proper alphabetical sequence, the following class titles <br />at the salary rate ranges next thereto set out in accordance with the current <br />two-year salary adjustment schedules in effect for the several represented and <br />unrepresented classes of employment in the City: <br /> <br /> <br />
