079 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 86-13 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA <br />AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 85-145 TO ADD TWO NEW CLASS TITLES <br />OF ASSISTANT FIRE CHIEF AND DEPUTY CITY MANAGER-POLICE CHIEF <br />TO THE BASIC COMPENSATION PLAN FOR UNREPRES~TED MANAGEMENT <br />PERSONNEL <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, on December 3, <br />Resolution No. 85-145, revising <br />plan for classes of employment <br />Middle-Management; and <br /> <br />1985, the City Council passed and adopted <br />and reestablishing the basic compensation <br />designated as Unrepresented Executive and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Section 1004, Article X of the City Charter of the City of <br />Santa Ana requires the City Manager to prepare, install and maintain a <br />position classification and pay plan subject to civil service rules and <br />regulations and the approval of the City Council; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City Manager, after considerable study and deliberation, <br />has proposed the establishment of two new management classes to reduce his <br />span of control and strengthen the lines of authority and accountability over <br />various offices, departments and agencies subject to his authority. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />SANTA ANA: <br /> <br /> 1. That Section 3A of Resolution No. 86-145, is hereby amended by <br />adding, in proper alphabetical sequence, the new class title of Deputy City <br />Manager-Police Chief at Salary Rate Range M-34 and designating said new class <br />as unrepresented Executive Management (EM). <br /> <br /> 2. That Section 3B of Resolution No. 86-145, is hereby amended by <br />adding, in proper alphabetical sequence, the new class title of Assistant <br />Fire Chief at Salary Rate Range M-30 and designating said new class as <br />unrepresented Middle-Management (MM). <br /> <br />3.
