165 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. ~3-43 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA <br />AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 85-145 TO ADD THE UNREPRESENTED <br />EXECUTIVE MANAGEMENT CLASS OF ASSISTANT TO THE CITY <br />MANAGER TO TEE CITY'S CLASSIFICATION AND COMPENSATION <br />PLAN FOR UNREPRESENTI~3 MANAGEMENT CLASSES <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, on December 3, 1985, the City Council passed and adopted <br />Resolution No. 85-145, revising and reestablishing the basic compensation plan for <br />classes of employment designated as Unrepresented Executive and Middle-Management; <br />and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Section 1004, Article X of the City Charter of the City of Santa <br />Aha requires the City Manager to prepare, install and maintain a position <br />classification and pay plan subject to civil service rules and regulations and the <br />approval of the City Council; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City Manager has proposed the establishment of a new position <br />in the Office of the City Manager to strengthen the management and coordination of <br />the City's public safety emergency management programs and activities; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, it is now desired to add a new executive-level management class <br />at an appropriate level of compensation in order to properly classify and <br />compensate said new position. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA <br /> <br />ANA: <br /> <br /> 1. That Section 3A of Resolution No. 86-145, is hereby amended by adding, <br />in proper alphabetical sequence, the new class title of Assistant to the City <br />Manager at Salary Rate Range M-32 and designating said new class as unrepresented <br />Executive Management (EM). <br /> <br />2.
