RESOLUTION NO. 85-38 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OOUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA <br />AM~DING RESOLUTION NO. 82-110 TO EFFECT A NLM~ER OF POSITION <br />CLASSIFICATION Ab~ CO~t~NSATION CHANGES IN ORDER TO I~ <br />PROPOSED STAFFING CHANGES THROUGHOUT THE CITY ORGANIZATION <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, on August 2, 1982, the City Council passed a~ adopted <br />Resolution No. 82-110 revising and re-establishing the basic Classification and <br />C~mpensation Plan for Officers and Fa~ployees of the City of Santa Aha; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Section 1004, Article X of the City Charter of the City of <br />Santa Ana requires the City Manager to prepare, install and maintain a position <br />classification and pay plan subject to civil service rules and regulations and <br />the approval of the City Council; and <br /> <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, City Council has from time to time,amended said Resolution; <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City Manager, after considerable study and deliberation, <br />has proposed additional, mere-detailed adjustments to the administrative <br />reorganization plan previously approved b~ City Council in order to further <br />consolidate related City functions; clar!fymanagernent responsibilities, lines <br />of authority and accountability; abd provide for the implementation of new <br />programs and activities initiated since the adoption of the 1984-85 Annual <br />Budget. <br /> <br /> WIi]SREAS, it is now desired to add a number of new class titles at <br />appropriate salary levels for the purpose of classifying or reclassifying <br />certain positions, change several existing class titles, delete obsolete <br />titles, and effect several other changes to the City's Basic Classification and <br />Ccm~pensation Plan. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA <br /> <br /> 1. That Section 3 of Resolution No. 82-110, as amended, is hereby <br />further amended by: <br /> <br />a.
