:: 073 <br />REL :mb ( 5 ) <br />1/19/88 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 88- 7 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL <br />OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA APPROVING <br />GENERAL PLAN AMENDMENT 88-~ PER- <br />TAINING TO THE MACARTHUR PLACE <br />DISTRICT CENTER <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the General Plan of the City of Santa Ana <br />establishes certain areas in the City of Santa Ana as "district <br />centers;" and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the General Plan states that district centers <br />shall provide areas for development of retail and office sites, <br />recreational, cultural and educational facilities and activities, <br />employment and higher density housing for elderly, handicapped <br />and families without children; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, a portion of the district center bounded by <br />Main Street, Columbine Avenue and the route 55 Freeway is known <br />as the "MacArthur Place District Center" and consists of the <br />area bounded by Main Street, Columbine Avenue, the route 55 <br />Freeway and MacArthur Boulevard; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, on December 7, 1987, the City Council of <br />the City of Santa Ana took the following actions with respect <br />to the MacArthur Place District Center: <br /> <br /> (a) Certified a Final Environmental Impact <br />Report/SCH 87042909 (the "EIR"); and <br /> <br />(b) Approved Tentative Map No. 13216 (the "Map"); <br /> <br />and <br /> <br />City of <br />respect <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, on January 4, 1988, the City <br />Santa Ana took the following additional <br />to the MacArthur Place District Center: <br /> <br />Council of the <br />actions with <br /> <br /> (a) <br />Government Code <br />ment" ); and <br /> <br /> Approved a Development Agreement pursuant to <br />Section 65865 et seq. (the "Development Agree- <br /> <br />(b) Approved Specific Development Plan No. 43 <br />(the "SD"); and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of <br />Santa Ana, after duly noticed public hearing, approved an <br />amendment to the Land Use Element of the General Plan pertain- <br />ing to the MacArthur Place District Center, as hereinafter set <br />forth (General Plan Amendment 88-1); and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council, after duly noticed public <br />hearing, concurs in the Planning Commission's approval of said <br />General Plan Amendment 88-1; <br /> <br /> <br />
