Hall <br />Noes, CounciLmen None <br />Absent, Councilmen None <br /> <br />The Council having unanimously waived the reading of the Ordinance, on motion of <br /> <br />Councilman Hubbard, seconded by Gould and carried, the following Ordinance entitled: <br /> <br />"Ordinance No. NS-514 amending Article IX of the Santa Ana <br /> Municipal Code to change district classification on Amend- <br /> ment Application No. 347 and amending Sectional District <br /> Map 7-5-9 (Exhibit AA 347 B)" <br /> <br />filed by the Santa Aha Board of Realtors, to reclassify from the R-1 and R-2 Dis- <br /> <br />tricts to the C-5 District, property located on the west side of Grand Avenue, be- <br /> <br />tween Fourteenth and Seventeenth Streets, for one lot, 66 feet wide, 680 feet south <br /> <br />of Seventeenth Street, all as shown on Exhibit AA 327 B, and including a rezoning <br /> <br />proposal initiated by the Planning C~maission for four lots, each 66 feet wide be-i <br /> <br />ginning at a point 490 feet south of the center line of Seventeenth Street and con~ <br /> <br />tinuing 264 feet south, was considered and passed by the following vote: <br /> <br />Communications <br />Boundary Cc~unission, <br />Board of Supervisors, <br />et al <br /> <br />Ayes, CounciLmen Royal E. Annex," advising the boundaries of <br />the proposed annexation do not meet the approval of the Surveyor's office in re- <br />spact to Section 35002 of the Government Code, and all documents were referred <br />back to the City for correction and resubmission, <br /> <br /> Fromthe Boundary C~ission regarding proposed annexation of territory to <br />the City of Santa Aha "Sugar East of Ward Annex," advising the boundaries of the <br />proposed annexation do not meet the approval of the Surveyor's office in respect <br />to Section 35002 of the Government Code, and all documents were referred back to <br />the City for correction and resubmission, <br /> <br /> From the Board of Supervisors submitting copy of Minute Order, dated March 15, <br />1961, advising City's Resolution No. 61-58 amending Resolution No. 61-27 to change <br />back to Dyer Road the road east of Main Street heretofore named Talbert Avenue, waSl <br />received, ordered filed, and the Clerk instructed to forward copies of said Resolu- <br />tion to the Clerk, s Registration Department, Building Department andthe County Sur-i <br />veyor's office, <br /> <br />From the City of Orange submitting copy of Resolution No. 1715 proposing to <br />2annex certain real property south of the Santa Aha Canyon Road and west of Tustin <br /> Avenue, designated "Annexation No. 157," <br /> <br /> From the City of Paramount submitting copy of Resolution No. 61:033 adopted <br />$~March 21, 1961, endorsing Assembly Bill 127 (Brown Act), <br /> <br /> From the City of Downey submitting Resolution No. 773, adopted February 28, <br />1961, opposing Assembly Bill No. 267 (which establishes metropolitan area multi- <br />purpose districts), and recd,,Bending Council's consideratian of said Bill and <br />adoptic~ of Resolution in opposition, <br /> <br /> From the Public Relations.Director, Pacific Water Company, advising of grave <br />coaceru over the attempts to close MacArthur Boulevard, and requesting the City <br />Council to maintain a firm stand not to abandon said route, <br /> <br /> From the Manager, Chamber of Commerce, submitting Resolution of Joint Meeting <br />Highway and Airport Committees of the Santa Ana Chamber of C~m, erce relative to <br />Orange County Airport, adopted March 22, 1961, stating that on the basis of all <br />available information there is no Justification for the expenditure of large sums <br />of County and Federal money in the extension of the runway length of the Orange <br />County Airport from 5,000 feet to 5,800 feet and relocation of MacArthur Boulevard <br />as has been advocated by the County Highway Commissioner; and further stating the <br />County Supervisor and Airport C~mmt ssic~er agree the 5,000 foot length is adequate <br />And have p~edged their support to curtail the longer length. <br /> <br /> <br />
