<br />Claypool, 515 East Walnut Street, for alleged personal injuries due to a fall on
<br />
<br />broken pavement o~ crossing the street in the vicinity of French Street, on the
<br />
<br />north side of East Fourth Street, in the sum of $1,500.00, was referred to the City~
<br />
<br />Attorney and Insurance Carrier.

<br />On motion of Cou~ci!man Heinly, seconded by Hubbard and carried, the request of the
<br />
<br />President, Civitan Club, was granted for the rental of the Municipal Bowl for three
<br />
<br />d~ys during the month of September, 1961, at a rate of $100.00 per day, for the
<br />purpose of raising funds, through a Water Follies Show, for the Paularino School fo~
<br />
<br />Retarded Children, located at 18952 Newport Av~aue.
<br />
<br />On motion of C(~l~c~!man Hubbard, seconded by Brewer and carried, the request of the
<br />
<br />City Employees Association was granted, to renew the existing agreement for the
<br />
<br />operation of the Santa Ama Municipal Bowl Concessions for a period of one year ccm-
<br />
<br />mencing April 1, 1961 and ending March 31, 1962, and the gross sales rental to con-
<br />
<br />tinue at 20%.

<br />removal of parking on both sides of Main Street, frc~ the Santiago Creek Bridge to

<br />Owens Drive, and stated the other residents will have been contacted by that time,

<br />reference the dedication of their property for the widening of North Main Street,
<br />
<br />continued from the meeting of March 20, 1961, wherein no official action was taken.

<br />After discussion the matter was continued until April 17, 1961.

<br />The Council having unaulmously waived the reading of the Resolution, on motion of
<br />
<br />Councilman Heinly, seconded by Hubbard and carried, the following Resolution entitle~:

<br /> "Resolution No. 61-96 favoring a maximum runway length of
<br /> 5,000 feet at the Orange County Airport"
<br />
<br />the retention of the present alignment of MacArthur Boulevard, and again requesting
<br />
<br />that Supervisor Cy Feather~y, representing the First Supervisorial District, vote
<br />
<br />in favor of a maximum runway length of 5,000 feet and to urge and vote for proposals
<br />
<br />expressed in this Resolution, was considered and passed by the following vote:
