RESOLUTION NO. 90- 087 PAGE FOUR "Sec. 8-401. Building supply pipe (Section 1009(h)). Section 1009(h of amended by changing the third paragraph to read the Uniform Plumbing Code is second paragraph and adding a as follows: (h) Size of meter and building supply pipe using Table 10-2. Knowing the available pressure at the water meter or other source of supply and after subtracting one-half (1/2) pound per square inch pressure for each foot of difference in elevation between such source of supply and the highest water supply outlet in the building or on the premises, use the "Pressure Range" group within which this pressure will fall. Select the "length" column which is equal to or longer than the required length. Follow down the column to a fixture unit value equal to or greater than the total number of fixture units required by the installation. Having located the proper fixture unit value for the required length, sizes of meter and building supply pipe will be found in the two (2) left-hand columns. Each single family residential structure shall be served with a main water supply pipe of not less than one (1) inch I.D. Two (2) hose bibbs served by inch I.D. Pipe or larger shall be serving the front yard and one (1) yard." three-quarter (3/4) provided; one (1) serving the rear "Sec. 8-402. Building supply pipe (Table 10-2). The City Council hereby finds and determines that soils are corrosive in the local area and that the above amendments are necessary to prevent pipe corrosion. The City Council also finds and determines that the larger pipe size required by the above amendments is necessary to provide adequate irrigation for residences due to the dry climate of the local area.
