Buffalo Ave. <br />and Twentieth St. <br />(Drs.Tedstrcen~Sears <br />and Ball) ~ <br /> <br /> Kolko Construction Ccerpany, for the improvements on nine lots located on the east <br /> side of Artesia Street~ and on the north and south sides of Tenth Street, in Tract <br /> No. ~998, was orderedreleased and improvements accepted as completed. <br /> <br /> On motion of Councilman Hubbard, seconded by Heinly and carried~ the request of the <br /> Department of Public Works ~s granted~ the plans and specifications approved, and <br /> the Purchasing Agent authorized to advertise for bids~ for the construction of a <br /> PCC Lined Trapezoidal Storm Drain Channel along Camile Street, between Newhope <br /> Street and the C-5 Channel, Project D-S9; bids to be opened September 5, 1961. <br /> <br /> On motion off Cotulcilman Hubbard, seconded by ~einly and carried~ the request of the <br /> Department of Public Works ~s granted, the plans and specifications approved, and <br /> the Purchasing Agent authorized to advertise for bids, for an air-conditioning sys- <br /> tem in the Council Chamber; bids to be opened August 21, 1961. <br /> <br /> On motion of CounciLman Hubbard, seconded by Heinly and carried, the request of the <br /> Department of Public Works was granted for the extension of completion time from <br /> AugUst l~ to September l, 1961, for the widening of Fifth Street, between Harbor <br /> Boulevard and the Santa Aha River, Project No. 12B, awarded to Griffith Company. <br /> <br />On motion of Councilman Hubbard, seconded by Schlueter and car?led, the request of <br />Consumer City, 2025 West First Street, was denied to erect a vented cloth or paper <br />sign, for promotional purposes, across West First Street, August 18~ 19 and 20~ to <br />be suspended from the street signs of the Mayfair Market snd Consumer City. <br /> <br />The Council having unanimously waived the reading of the Resolution, on motion of <br />Councilman Hubbard, seconded by Heinly and carried, the following Resolution enti- <br />tled: <br /> <br /> "Resolution No. 61-195 concerning parking limitations and curb <br /> markings in accordance therewith" <br /> <br />repealing and rescinding Resolution No. 60-~18 adopted November 7, 1960, and remov- <br />ing the No-Parking Zones on the east side of Raitt Street from the North curb line <br />of Edinger Avenue to the south curb line of McFadden Avenue, as rec~muended by the <br />Department of Public Works~ was considered and passed by the following vote: <br /> <br />Ayes~ Councilmen Royal E. Hubbard, Henry H. Schlueter~ <br /> Dale H. Heinly, Bob Brewer, A. A. Hall <br />Noes, Councilmen None <br />Absent, Councilmen None <br /> <br />The Council having unanimously waived the reading of the Resolution, on motion of <br /> <br />Councilman Hubbard, seconded by Heinly and carried~ the following Resolution entitle <br /> <br /> "Resolution No. 61-196 caacerning parking limitations and curb <br /> markings in accordance therewith" <br /> <br />establishing No Parking Zones on Standard Avenue south of Borchard Avenue to alley, <br />on Standard Avenue, between Borchard Avenue and Wilshire Avenue, and Standard Avenue <br />north of Wilshire Avenue to alley~ as recon~ended by the Department of Public Works <br />was considered and passed by the following vote: <br /> <br />Ayes~ Councilmen Royal E.
