Hall <br />None <br />None <br /> <br />The Council having unanimously waived the reading of the Resolution, on motion of <br /> <br />Councilman Hubbard, seconded by Heinly and carried, the following Resolution entitle <br /> <br /> "Resolution No. 61-202 concerning parking limitations and curb <br /> markings in accordance therewith" <br /> <br />establishing No Parking Zones f~om 4:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M., on the north sides of <br />Eighth Street and Washington Avenue, between Flower and Garnsey Streets; and estab- <br />lishing No Parking Zones on the north sides of Washington and McFadden Avenues, be- <br />tween Flower and Garnsey Streets, as rec~amended by the Department o~ Public Works, <br />was considered and passed by the following vote: <br /> <br />Ayes, Council~a~u Royal E. Hubbard, Henry H. Schlueter, <br /> Dale H. Heinly, Bob Brewer, A. A. Hall <br />Noes, Councilmen None <br />Absent, Councilmen None <br /> <br />The Council having unanimously w~ived the reading of the Resolution, on motion of <br />Councilman Hubbard, seconded by Heinly and carried, the following Resolution enti- <br />tled: <br /> <br /> "Resolution No. 61-203 prohibiting parking in excess of two hours <br /> on the north side of Washington Avenue between Main Street and <br /> Sycamore Street" <br /> <br />whereby no person shall park any vehicle on the north side of Washington Avenue, be- <br />tween Main Street and Sycamore Street, and leave the same so parked for a period of <br />time longer than two hours, between the hours of 7:00 A.M. and 6:00 P.M. of any day, <br />except Sundays and holidays; and establishing 2h-Minute Parking Zones on the west <br />side of Sycamore Street, between Washington Avenue and Fifteenth Street, reference <br />request of Patio Restaurant, was considered and passed by the following vote: <br /> <br />Ayes, Councilmen Royal E. Hubbard, Henry H. Schlueter, <br /> Dale H. Heinly, Bob Brewer, ^~ A. Hall <br />Noes, Councilmen None <br />Absent, Councilmen None <br /> <br />Co~nication wRs presented frc~ the U. S. Air Force and Army Recruiting Service, <br />requesting free parking meter hoods for U. S. Recruiting Officers' vehicles at 223 <br />North Broadway, and a report from the Department of Public Works reccm~nending the <br />following Section be added to the new proposed Traffic Ordinance, and that the <br />Ordinance, including the following Section, be adopted: "Section 3253 (d) The Chief <br />of Police may issue parking meter hoods (at no charge) for official United States <br />Government vehicles which are used directly by Recruiting Offices of the United <br />States Armed Forces." On motion of Councilman Hubbard, seconded by Heinly and car- <br />ried, the c~unication and report were received, filed, and the following Ordinance <br />entitled: <br /> <br /> 'Adding Section 3311.7 to the Santa Aha Muncipal Code pro- <br /> viding United States Government Recruiter Parking Meter <br /> Hoods" <br /> <br />was introduced, considered and placed on file for second reading. <br /> <br />On reco~aendation of the Department of Public Works, and on motion of Councilman Hub <br />bard, seconded by Heinly and carried, the request of Elmer W. Meislahn, 605 South <br />Broadway, was denied for the removal of No Parking signs in the 500 block of South <br />Flower Street. <br /> <br />Petition was presented signed by approximately B7 persons protesting the traffic <br />situation on Tam~ Lane (between Honer Plaza and Santa Clara ~venue) during the hours <br />of 4:30 P.M. and 5:~0 P.M., and requesting a traffic study, in the interest of the <br /> <br /> <br />
