Randolph Fulcher, 2122 Tam~ Lane, pre. <br />sented a petition signed by sixty persons requesting alleviation from the <br />traffic conditions existing on Tamy Lane each week-day evening between 4:30 P.M. <br />and 5:00 P.M. On motion of Councilman Hubbard, seconded by Schlueter and carried <br />the petition was received, filed, and the matter referredtO the Department of <br />lic Works for recommendation and report. <br /> <br />On recc~mendation of the Department of Public Works, the request of Marianne <br /> 1702 No. English Street, <br />Ariel Realty~was denied for Lfm~ted Parking on Seventeenth and English Streets.. <br /> <br />Miss Marianne Patton stated the cars of personnel of nearby offices are parked in <br />front of her real estate office, and requested two-hour parking, rather than 24- <br />minute parking, for the clients. On motion of Councilman Brewer, seconded by Hub- <br />bard and carried, the matter was referred to the Curb Usage C~-...fttee for further <br />study with reference to Limited Parking. <br /> <br />On motion of Councilman Hubbard, seconded by Brewer and carried, the request of <br />Ray L. Musick, 161~ North Towner Street, for angle parking in the North Towner <br />Street cul-de-sac, was postponed to the next meeting. <br /> <br />Cv~nication was presented frc~ Harold C. Dow, A.I.A., San Francisco, requesting <br />permission to use terrazzo in the entry and extending into the sidewalk of the <br />United Title Guaranty Company office building, located at Eighth and Ross Streets. <br /> <br />On motion of Councilman Hubbard, seconded by Brewer and carried, permission ~s <br /> <br /> furnish <br />granted to use terrazzo if it is of the non-slip type, also/evidence of insurance <br /> <br />so that the City is protected frc~ any liability. <br /> <br />On motion of Counc~l~Au Hubbard, seconded by Schlueter and carried, the request of <br />John K. Colwell, City Attorney, was granted to leave the State, beginning August <br />and returning August 15, 1961, at no expense to the City. <br /> <br />The Council having Unanimously waived the reading of the Resolution, on motion of <br />Councilman Hubbard, seconded by Schlueterand carried, the following Resolution <br />entitled: <br /> <br /> "Resolution No. 61-20h c~mmending the Santa Ana Fire Department, <br /> the fire fighters frcm Garden Grove and the Santa Ana Police <br /> Department for their cooperation and effectiveness during the <br /> recent fire at Tiernan's" <br /> <br />902 North Main Street, on August 5, 1961, was considered and passed by the follow- <br /> <br />lng vote: <br />Ayes, Councilmen <br /> <br />Noes, Councilmen <br />~bsent, Councilmen <br /> <br />Royal E.
