<br />The Council having unanimously waived the reading of the Resolution, on motion of
<br />
<br />Councilman Heinly, seconded by Brewer and carried, the following Resolution entitle~:
<br />
<br /> "Resolution No. 61-217 providing for the withdrawal of
<br /> certain territory from the Garden Grove Fire Protection
<br /> District"
<br />
<br />and an inhabited annexation proceeding was conducted by the City of Santa Ana,
<br />under the name of "West Santa Aua Annex" and said territory included most of West-
<br />minster Avenue (Seventeenth Street in Santa Ana) and along the northerly half of
<br />Westminster Avenue from Verano Street East to a point 330 feet East of Newhope
<br />Street, except between Anita and Rosita Streets the street right of way was includ~.
<br />within the Garden Grove Fire Protection District, and said included area is now
<br />afforded fire protection by the City offS ants Aha, and that portion of said terri-
<br />
<br />tory along the northerly half of Westminster Avenue will not be benefited by remain
<br />lng in said Fire Protection District, and shall be withdrawn from the Garden Grove
<br />
<br />Fire Protection District on October 1, 1961, was considered and passed by the
<br />
<br />~ollowing vote:

<br /> Municipal Code to change district classification on Amend-
<br /> merit Application No. 359 and amending Sectional District
<br /> Map 23-5-10 (Exhibit AA 359 A)"

<br />filed by James A. and Florence B. Lukens, and Thriftimart, Inc., to reclassify from
<br />the C-1 and R-1 Districts to the c-l* District, approximately eleven acres of land il
<br />at the southwest corner of Edinger Avenue and Bristol Street, was considered and ~

<br />communications were received and filed:

<br /> From the $oundary C0~ission regarding proposed annexation of territory to th~
<br />City of Santa Ana "Talbert and Greenville - South Annex", advising the boundaries
<br />of the proposed annexation do not meet the approval of the County Surveyor's Officel!
<br />in respect to Section 35002 of the Government Code, and all doc~m~ents were referred
<br />to the City for correction and resubmission,
<br />
<br /> From the Boundary Co~mission regarding proposed annexation of territory to theii~
<br />City of Santa Ana "Verano and Roberts - West Annex", advising the boundaries of
<br />proposed annexation do not meet the approval of the County Surveyor's office in
<br />respect to Section 35002 of the Government Code, and all documents were referred
