<br />It was moved by Councilman Heinly, seconded by Brewer and carried, that action on
<br />
<br />the award of the bids he postponed to the next meeting. It was moved by Councilman
<br />
<br />Heinly, seconded by Brewer and carried, that the motion be rescinded. On motion of
<br />
<br />Councilman Heinly, seconded by Brewer and carried, the lowest ar~ best bid of Essick
<br />
<br />Machinery Company was accepted for Item (1), in the total amount of $4,248.30, all
<br />other bids rejected, two checks ordered returned, and action postponed on Item (2)
<br />until the next meeting.

<br />A tabulation of bids was presente~ for the furnishing and delivering of approximately
<br />
<br />5,400 tons of 60/70 asphaltic concrete (machine spread), and approximately 1,100 tons
<br />
<br />of 120/150 asphaltic concrete (truck spread), the estimated requirements for the
<br />
<br />fiscal year 1961-62, Specification No. 488-11, as follows:

<br />On motion of Councilman Heinly, seconded by Brewer and carried, the lowest and best
<br />
<br />bid of Sully-Miller Contracting Company was accepted, at the prices submitted of
<br />
<br />$4.44 per ton for the Machine Spread, and $4.09 per ton for the Truck Spread, and
<br />
<br />all other bids rejected.

<br />between Sugar Avenue and the C-5-F Channel, Project D-41, as follows:

<br />This being the date set for hearing on the annexation of property consisting of
<br />
<br />206.6 acres, extending south from the center line of Edinger Avenue, beginning at a
<br />
<br />point approximately 1534 feet west of Bristol Street, designated "Warner and Salts
<br />
<br />N. & S. Annex"; the Vice-Mayor asked the Clerk if any written pretests had been re-
<br />
<br />ceived, and she replied there were none. The hearing was closed. On motion of
<br />
<br />Councilman Heinly, seconded by Brewer and carried, the following Ordinance entitled:

<br />"Ordinance declaring the annexation of territory designated
<br />'Warner and Salts ~. & S. Annex'"
<br />
<br />was introduced, considered and placed on file for second reading.

<br />This being the date set for hearing on Amendment Application No. 360, filed by
<br />
<br />A. Gottlieb, amending Sectional District Map 13-5-10, to reclassify from the R-1 to
<br />
<br />the R-3 District, property on the north side of Brook Street, approx!w~tely 190 feet
<br />east of Bristol Street, all as shown on Exhibit A. A. 360~,' no protests were received
<br />
<br />and the hearing was closed. On motia~of CoUnc~lmsn Brewer, seconded by Heinly and

<br />carried, the following Ordinance entitled:
