Daniell; <br /> ~rthside Church of Christ <br /> <br />Instructions <br /> <br />~his being the date set for hearing on Amendment Application No. 361, initiated by <br /> <br />the Planning Commission, amending Sectional District Maps 11-5-10 and 12-5-10, to <br /> <br />reclassify from the R-1 and R-2 Districts to the C-5 District, properties on both <br /> <br />sides of Bristol Street, between First and Seventeenth Streets, that are not cur- <br /> <br />rent~y zoned cc~mercially, all as shown on Exhibit A. A. 361A; no protests were re- <br /> <br />ceived and the hearing was closed. On motion of Councilman Brewer, seconded by <br /> <br />Heinly and carried, the following Ordinance entitled: <br /> <br />"Ordinance amending Article IX of the Santa Ana Municipal Code <br /> to change district classification on A~endment Application No. <br /> 361 and amending Sectional District Maps ll-5-10 and 12-5-10 <br /> (Exhibits AA 361A)" <br /> <br />was introduced, considered and placed on file for second reading. <br /> <br />Co~m~nication was presented from the Planning C~ission recommending approval of <br /> <br />the request of Title Insurance and Trust Company, 800 North Main Street, for excep-i <br />tion to the off-street parking requirements, in connection with the construction of' <br /> <br />an addition to their existing building which would occupy the vacant portion of <br /> <br />their property facing Main Street. On motion of Councilman Heinly, seconded by <br /> <br />Brewer and carried, the request of Title Insurance and Trust Company was granted <br /> <br />for exception to the off-street parking requirements. <br /> <br />On motiou of Counci!mau Heinly, seconded by Brewer and carried, Preliminary Record <br />of Survey Map No. 215, filed by Shareholders Properties, Inc., creating four parcel~ <br /> <br />located 730 feet north of Warner Avenue and on the west side of Grand Avenue, was <br /> <br />approved, subject to conditions. <br /> <br />On motion of Counc~Im~n Heinly, seconded by Brewer and carried, proper officials <br /> <br />were authorized to execute the following agreements: <br /> <br /> With Orange County Peace Officers Association, Inc., dated September 1, 1961, <br />for use of target range at its training center located on Struck Avenue Just east <br />of the Santa Ana River, for a period of one year, at an annual rental fee of <br />$1,320.00; <br /> <br /> With Fairfax Sign Company, and Mr. and Mrs. R. G. Holcomb, to construct an <br />electric sign in front of property at 2211 East First Street, which extends over an4 <br />upon the established setback line; <br /> <br /> With powell Neon Sign Company, and Jam Grimstad, to construct an electric sign i <br />in front of property at 1513 North Harbor Boulevard, which extends over and upon <br />the established setback line; <br /> <br /> With the County to perform the necessary work and submit the survey informatiG <br />to the City for the purpose of engineering surveys to determine the design on cer- <br />tain projects; <br /> <br /> Amendment from the County, dated September 18, 1961, for Arterial Highway Fin- <br />ancing Program for Talbert Avenue from ~00 feet east of Harbor Boulevard to Green- <br />ville Street, Project No. 100, where lines 11 and 12 of Page 2 are amended; <br /> <br /> Amendment from the County, dated September 18, 1961, for Arterial Highway Fin-il <br />ancing Program for Fairview Street, Talbert to Segerstrem Avenues, Project No. 96, <br />where lines 12 and 13 of Page 2 are amended; <br /> <br /> With Edward A. Wopschall, Inc. and E. I. duPont, deNemours & Company, Inc., <br />dated September 18, 1961, to warrant and guarantee the work and materials used for 1 <br />an additional consecutive period of one year, for the painting of the structural ~ <br />steel frame and the spot painting of the columns inside the Bristol Street Reservoi~ <br />at Bristol Street, south of Santiago Creek; <br /> <br /> With John R. Daniell, Appraiser, for extension of time f~om September 23, 1961! <br />to October 1, 1961, on Agreement dated June 19, 1961, to i~u~nish certain engineering <br />services in connection with construction of a grade separation crossing under the <br />A.T.&S.F. Railway Company and the Southern Pacific Compsny tracks at First Street, <br />at no increase in cost to the City; and <br /> <br /> With Northside Church of Christ and seven individuals, dated September 18, 196i, <br />for refund of drainage assessment fee deposit of $6,070.00 and Joint and several <br />promises by the Church and seven individuals to deposit any amount required up to <br />$6,070.00 within sixty days of notice, for property at 2130 NO. Grand Avenue. <br /> <br />It was moved by Councilman Heinly, seconded by Brewer and carried, that escrow in- <br /> <br />structions be approved and signed for certain properties and with the following <br /> <br />persons: <br /> <br /> <br />
