Council Chamber <br />Santa Ana City Hall <br />October 2, 1961 <br /> <br />~ 0 <br />~:3 P.M. <br /> <br />City Council met in regular session. <br />Meeting called to order by the Mayor. <br /> <br />Present: Councilmen <br />Absent: Councilmen <br /> <br />Royal E.. Hubbard, Henry H. Schlueter, <br />Dale H. Heinly, Bob Brewer, A. A. Hall <br />None <br /> <br />The Pledge of Allegiance was given. <br /> <br />Invocation was given by Mr. Ralph Worsham, The Register. <br /> <br />Each member of the City Council having received copies of the Minutes of <br />September 18, 1961, reading of the Minutes was dispensed with and approved <br />as mailed on motion of Councilman Hubbard, seconded by Schlueter and carried. <br /> <br />Bids <br />Paving Breakers <br />with Accessories <br /> <br />A tabulation of bids was again presented to furnish and deliver three Paving Break- <br />ers with Accessories, Item (2), Specification No. 623-19, and on motion of Council- <br />man Heinly, seconded by Hubbard and carried, all bids were rejected on Item (2) and <br /> <br />the Purchasing Agent authorized to purchase the equipment through negotiation on the <br /> <br />Bid Acceptance <br />Truck Chassis <br />with Cab <br /> <br />open market. <br /> <br />A tabulation of bids was presented to furnish and deliver one 24,000~ G.V.W. Truck <br /> <br />International Harvester Co. <br /> <br />Chassis with Conventional Cab, Specification No. 621-B1, as follows: <br /> List Price Less Trade-In Net Cost to City <br /> $4,419.59 <br /> <br /> $4,494.5~ $150.00 (with tank) $4,344.59 <br /> 75.00 (without tank) <br /> 4,902.56 275.00 4,627.56 <br />(If water tank removed deduct $75.00 from bid) <br /> 4,399.6~ 130.00 (with tank) <br /> 60.00 (without tank) .... <br /> 4,476.85 130.00 (60 chassis) <br /> (70 tank) 4,346.85 <br /> 5,252.63 175.00 (with tank) 5,077.63 <br />(trade-in to be $100.00 if tank removed) <br /> <br />McMurtrie-Payne Corp. <br /> <br />George Dunton, Inc. <br /> <br />L. D. Coffing Co. <br /> <br />Guaranty Chevrolet Motors <br /> <br />On motion of COllBc~]m~n Hubbard, seconded by Brewer and carried, the lowest and <br />best bid of George Dunton, Inc. was accepted, in the total amount of $4,399.64, <br /> <br />the old water tank retained for storage of crankcase drainings, and all other bids <br /> <br />Hearing <br />"Santa Clara and <br /> Lincoln N.E. Annex" <br />Ordinance <br /> <br />rejected. <br /> <br />This being the date set for hearing on the annexation of property consisting of <br />approximately 1~.726 acres, located at the northeast corner of Lincoln and Santa <br />Clara Avenue, designated "Santa Clara and Lincoln N. E. Annex"; the Mayor asked <br /> <br />the Clerk if any written protests had been received, and she replied there were <br /> <br />none. The hearing was closed. On motion of Councilman Heinly, seconded by Hubbard <br /> <br />aud carried, the following Ordinance entitled: <br /> <br />"Ordinance declaring the annexation of territory designated <br />'Santa Clara and Lincoln - N. E. Anuex'" <br /> <br />Hearing <br />"Seventeenth and <br /> Mabury North Annex" <br />Ordinance <br /> <br />was introduced, considered and placed on file for second reading. <br /> <br />This being the date set for hearing on the annexation of property consisting of <br />approximately 19.137 acres~ located 831 feet east of the center line of Wright <br />Street and north of the intersection of Seventeenth and Mabury Streets, designated <br />"Seventeenth and Mabury North Annex"; the Mayor asked the Clerk if any written pro- <br /> <br />tests had been received, and She replied there were none. The hearing was closed. <br /> <br />On motion of Councilman Hubbard, seconded by Brewer and carried, the following Ordi- <br /> <br />nance entitled: <br /> <br />"Ordinance declaring the annexation of te~Titory designated <br />'Seventeenth and Mabury North Annex'" <br /> <br />was introduced, considered and placed 6n file for second reading. <br /> <br /> <br />
