Council Chamber Santa Ana City Hall October 2, 1961 ~ 0 ~:3 P.M. City Council met in regular session. Meeting called to order by the Mayor. Present: Councilmen Absent: Councilmen Royal E.. Hubbard, Henry H. Schlueter, Dale H. Heinly, Bob Brewer, A. A. Hall None The Pledge of Allegiance was given. Invocation was given by Mr. Ralph Worsham, The Register. Each member of the City Council having received copies of the Minutes of September 18, 1961, reading of the Minutes was dispensed with and approved as mailed on motion of Councilman Hubbard, seconded by Schlueter and carried. Bids Paving Breakers with Accessories A tabulation of bids was again presented to furnish and deliver three Paving Break- ers with Accessories, Item (2), Specification No. 623-19, and on motion of Council- man Heinly, seconded by Hubbard and carried, all bids were rejected on Item (2) and the Purchasing Agent authorized to purchase the equipment through negotiation on the Bid Acceptance Truck Chassis with Cab open market. A tabulation of bids was presented to furnish and deliver one 24,000~ G.V.W. Truck International Harvester Co. Guaranty Chevrolet Motors On motion of COllBc~]m~n Hubbard, seconded by Brewer and carried, the lowest and best bid of George Dunton, Inc. was accepted, in the total amount of $4,399.64, the old water tank retained for storage of crankcase drainings, and all other bids Hearing "Santa Clara and Lincoln N.E. Annex" Ordinance rejected. This being the date set for hearing on the annexation of property consisting of approximately 1~.726 acres, located at the northeast corner of Lincoln and Santa Clara Avenue, designated "Santa Clara and Lincoln N. E. Annex"; the Mayor asked the Clerk if any written protests had been received, and she replied there were none. The hearing was closed. On motion of Councilman Heinly, seconded by Hubbard aud carried, the following Ordinance entitled: "Ordinance declaring the annexation of territory designated 'Santa Clara and Lincoln - N. E. Anuex'" Hearing "Seventeenth and Mabury North Annex" Ordinance was introduced, considered and placed on file for second reading. This being the date set for hearing on the annexation of property consisting of approximately 19.137 acres~ located 831 feet east of the center line of Wright Street and north of the intersection of Seventeenth and Mabury Streets, designated "Seventeenth and Mabury North Annex"; the Mayor asked the Clerk if any written pro- tests had been received, and She replied there were none. The hearing was closed. On motion of Councilman Hubbard, seconded by Brewer and carried, the following Ordi- nance entitled: "Ordinance declaring the annexation of te~Titory designated 'Seventeenth and Mabury North Annex'" was introduced, considered and placed 6n file for second reading.
